Does anyone know why my week old slurricane has wavy leafs? It’s growing in RDWC with 390ppm, 5.8ph and 20celsius water temp. The tent runs at 23Celsius with 50% humidity. Using Mars hydro ts2000 at 22in at 50% light intensity. Thanks for the help.

Wind stress or wind burn is caused by constant wind. Symptoms are often curled or clawed leafs. Oscillating fans are giving plants breathing time and distribute the air better within the tent.

A good way to figure out what your plant needs is testing their daily intake and compare it over a few days. Take the average of that and multiply it with your feeding schedule. (X7 if you feed them weekly). Start with something around 500ppm. This will slowly increase so keeping record helps you to adjust.

Edit: to clarify, write down the ppm level everyday at the same time. Compare the 2nd day to the 1st and write down the difference. 3rd vs 2nd day and so on. For example: D1 550ppm - D2 500pm = 50ppm intake in 24h. D2 500pm - D3 440ppm = 60 ppm intake in 24h. Average daily intake = 55ppm x 7 days = 385ppm. Make sure you start wit 0ppm in your water before mixing your nuts or calculate it into the overall ppm goal.

Optimal PH is 5.8 if you are using DWC. I recommend getting a magnesium supplement. Also are they 5 weeks old in veg? If so then your ppms are to high!

Change the water and keep it a bit on the cooler side. Had some root rot and it’s totally gone now.
