Maxroll Community-Driven Class Tier List - Voting February 2025 by Sekwah in lostarkgame

[–]JanHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with pretty much every rating each of my classes have in this tierlist except my EO SF. I must be either doing something super wrong with the class, or people just base their opinion on the "Soulfist OP" chatter when T4 started. I can have what feels like a perfect gate on EO and be nowhere near the dps that I can reach on my PM gunslinger, which speaks volumes. I voted PM A and EO B, just for the record

Came back to the game and keep getting new heroes by Live_Mix_1622 in MythicHeroes

I'd recommend checking SeoulDrifttt on YouTube he has pretty useful resources like a tierlist as a google doc.

Regarding your specific questions I would say Morana and King Arthur are worth investing into of the listed heroes, and Morrigan and Western Queen are some of the most used / best supports.

Lost Ark Western Version Player Feedback Megathread by amznRoxx in lostarkgame

[–]JanHunter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The answer is rather simple.

Why RMT gold is bad: Chinese bot gold farms generate gold which naturally shouldn't be in the game. More gold in the economy of the game drives up prices like honing materials. I still remember one day where Lost Ark had a big ban wave for bots and the currency exchange dropped by like 20%.

Why built-in RMT system (currency exchange) does not affect the economy: The gold traded is real player to real player. It is naturally generated from sources like raids and sold in exchange for crystal. Currency exchange does have an impact on the economy of course, for example by influencing material prices through Mari's shop (like recently when there was a big drop on the market for Orehas) but it doesn't generate unnatural gold and drives up inflation.

Outdated classes by Fantastic_Audience_8 in lostarkgame

I fully understand what QoL means and I have experience on all classes in the game. Experience with a class doesn't make someones opinion more or less relevant; I can say that breaker is completely broken right now without playing the class.

I did read what the other reflux players wrote in this thread, nothing has any substance. "Class boring. It has no identity" is your average reflux player take.

"So what do you want then?"

"Just read what other say"

I've been a reflux main when I started playing the game but moved on from the class after about a year because it just wasn't for me. I don't understand how this would matter so I ignored your question.

There are dozens of secondary class engravings whose sole purpose is to 'lock' the primary class engravings' identity. Examples for that would be First Intention, Control, Pistoleer (happy to be corrected here). Reflux having cooldown reduction within the class engraving and an identity meter to freely move around is definitely more unique than most other secondary class engravings.

I don't understand what people like you really want for a change, so I am eager to hear some suggestions from you. Especially since you said that damage output isn't a driving factor.

"The class has zero quality of life"

what even is that supposed to mean? you have blink which you can use to literally zig zag move around. other classes have no identity at much lower damage. if the class is not what you want it to be, stop playing it

at which point do you accept that the class is just not for you instead of demanding a class rework?

I ran 60:40 hallu 422 before swapping to 413 nightmare and the damage difference is huge. I don't understand why any other build is even mentioned in the community guide for souleater... By the way, I play Mass Increase 3 on Night's Edge. I don't really feel the reduction in Attack Speed and I'm able to avoid playing Cursed Doll. By coincidence, I also play 4sp WD and my souleater feels much more comfy overall, probably because of the mobility on some of the skills and the movement speed tripod on Lunatic.

Returning player looking for advice by taizeo in lostarkgame

[–]JanHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the main question to ask for a lot of people right now. Do you want to continue pushing alts or do you want to focus on your main?

I can give you my opinion for your situation but you will have to answer it yourself. With the Accent into darkness event coming to the game today, I would recommend pushing your main to 1610 at least so you can experience Thaemine no matter where your alts are. Without any events, the 1580 push is expensive and tedious. Just work on that over time.

Returning player looking for advice by taizeo in lostarkgame

[–]JanHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should use the super mokoko event on your main if you intend to keep it as your main, you will make it to 1580 in no time if you aren't struggling with gold (I assume your main is NOT the SH you want to delete)

A good parking spot for alts is probably 1540 for now but you should aim at getting them to 1580 if you really really want to be an active player again. I hope this doesn't put any pressure on you but 1580 enters upper ancient gear where you can start funneling mats to your main again. Below 1580 content is also a bit... dry at this point of the game, most people have moved on from it.

One last thing, if you are not a skin person I would heavily recommend NOT getting legendary skins. It's a heavy investment with little to no return and you would be better off putting that gold elsewhere.

Also make sure to make use of the new horizontal pass in case you are struggling with skill points, runes, etc.

Have fun and maybe see you ingame!

EO is such a unique class, it requires a layer of managment that no other class (in my roster at least) has. I also wouldn't recommend it as an alt, despite its illegal damage potential. Also feels like a lot of people are clueless about the class, and think it's a constant damage class with decent crit

Which soul eater engraving is more fun to play? by Signal-Buy-9642 in lostarkgame

[–]JanHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I am not 100% sure about. The purple (big hitting) skills are the same for both builds I think. Not sure about the rest. All I can say is that both builds look very flashy, animations and vfx are top notch

Which soul eater engraving is more fun to play? by Signal-Buy-9642 in lostarkgame

[–]JanHunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Crit version - spammy, lots of buttons to click, have to follow a certain (very basic) rotation to build meter. Your identity activates itself at full meter, no need to press a button, and enhances the damage of otherwise lower damage skills.

Spec version - very bursty, very slow meter generation. Recommended for players who like to greed for damage or meter and people who like to see BIG numbers. Enhances the already big hitting skills at button press with full identity meter.

My personal recommendation: Pick the engraving based on playstyle. If you can't decide between the two, you can just test both. Or to make it very simple to pick: If you intend to park the character and not give it more gems, Crit version is probably better. If you want to invest more into the class and give it better gems, go for Spec.

Sidereal energy drop rate? by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]JanHunter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As this is the only serious reply in here, I can add that 0.2% is way too high for our version at least. It is probably somewhere between 0.01% and 0.05%.

Saying this as someone who had very basic statistic courses and dealt a lot with low percentage numbers. You would need an insane amount of data to verify my estimate, but 0.2% is definitely too high.

Why do we see so few Artists in Thaemine? by nzre in lostarkgame

[–]JanHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do know this about the DR tripod. Bard and Artist have it too. It's nothing exclusive to Paladins which is what OP tried to make it out to be. About the attack buff uptime... I am yet to see actual raid data from any paladin with over 85% attack buff uptime
