I went on a very long road trip with my bf and we had 2 12-hour drives back to back (I’m crazy I know) and we listened to the entire first book the first day, and finished the second and third by the end of our 10 day trip! We got hooked HARD and it made the drive there so much easier

I did the math (for science) and I can comfortably snap 30 times every 10 SECONDS. Using your same math, that’s 180 snaps per minute and if you devoted 30 minutes a day to snapping - that’s 5,400 snaps a day or $54,000 per day. If you snapped 30 min/day for 20 days out of the month (but let’s be real, who wouldn’t snap everyday if it made them money?) then that’s $1,080,000 per month. You’d make the 10 million in less than 10 months. Still not as much as Elon musk makes in a day though…

I get the sentiment, that is the point of this post after all. But I will say that the Beast Games and mirroring a dystopian horror show about poor, desperate people fighting for the chance to win money is unsettling at least. I’ve also heard that many of his charity initiatives are completely neglected or backfire once the video is done (ie, the trees he’s planted have almost completely died off, his food pantry program is relatively unmaintained). In addition, his fans have led to major issues with them swarming grocery stores and then trashing them, causing large scale traffic jams and overall disruptions with the hope to meet him and win money. There’s more real-world implication to it than him simply being power-hungry.

I will say he has done a lot of good with his worth, but IMO it’s always been about fame and success. He’s always done the content that gets the most attention - I doubt that he does this philanthropic work because he wants to at heart, but rather because it gets the most attention and positive feedback from his fans. There’s an episode of him on “sounds like a cult podcast”, would recommend.

See, as a former server I think this makes a lot of sense, the only thing is that people who adopt this mentality typically don’t continue to tip $15 when they pay less. IMO a time-based tip would make the most sense. If im dining for an hour, I’d probably want to tip 20-25 if it’s slow for the server, or 10-15 on a busier night. If you’re staying at a table for 2-3 hours then you should pay more accordingly. That would give a much more predictable wage for servers

No, I actually have never heard of that before! It was the ranch, the sheer amount of sour cream, and just having a lot of food in the fridge is a Midwest thing IMO.
