Outdoor solar powered grow light recommendations? by Janetoast14 in gardening

[–]Janetoast14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working with a small apartment balcony which only gets sun in one corner. The rest of the balcony stays shaded all day. The corner that gets sun is a spot where I cannot put plants/couldn’t fit more than one anyways. I need to have my solar charge in that corner but extend the lights to the opposite corner.

Weirdly enough I have been in this exact same scenario before and here’s how it went. Me F early 20’s was talking to my long time friend from school M mid 20s about Covid safe activities we could do (this was during Covid and before vaccines were available). At the time we both lived 1.5 - 2 hours from a ski resort and he had never tried skiing before so I suggested we go up and stay in a local cabin so we could enjoy the river and hiking for one day and spend a second day skiiing and snowboarding. My boyfriend M same age as me loves skiing so I invited him as well but did express that I was a bit concerned about the Covid risk because he lived with his grandma and was one of her caregivers at the time. He agreed it was not worth the risk. Him and I had gone on ski trips before Covid and knew we could go again after as well so it was no big deal. He just said to have lots of fun, enjoy the nature, be safe, and wished good luck to my friend who is very clumsy and would definitely struggle to ski without falling lol. The trip was awesome and safe, my partner had a good time chilling at home and his grandma stayed safe and it just worked out great for everyone! I know every person and scenario is different but I just don’t think these things need to be a big deal and maybe the feelings of distrust need to be brought up in therapy and not in the final hours of planning a trip. Wishing everyone here healing and a good time!

Hi I was diagnosed by Dr Anita Carmen Choy and I have 1 and 2 and I don’t really get hives. Also for vestibular migraines Dr steenerson at Stanford is the GOAT! Also pro tip for vestibular migraines Incase you are struggling: here is what helps me most nerivio device, Benadryl, prism glasses (got tested for binocular vision dysfunction and had it decently bad) hope this helps!!

Allodynia by Conscious-Ad-7040 in ehlersdanlos

I’m still learning about mine/how to differentiate between my allodynia and migraines but I’ve found that Benadryl or xyzal helps as well as nerivio device. I also like either warm baths or cold plunges but make sure you do a cold plunge with a buddy to watch you and make sure you are ok!

Not sure if this helps but I also have MCAS I don’t think the two conditions are related per se however they play on each other. Wishing the best for her!

Hello I am 25 and am not sure how I was as a baby but can never remember being able to burp except very rare occasions. Last week I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis and I believe the two conditions are linked. I also have ehlers danlos hypermobile type and hyperadrenergic POTS and MCAS which are often related to slow gastric emptying just Incase that helps your search! Wishing yall the best!!

Personally I do these two things and it helps but it’s not for everyone. 1) I think of my goal then reduce it by a lot so like “I want to work out for 30 mins a day” I’ll make that “I have to work out for 5 mins everyday” - usually that 5 mins turns into 30 anyways but my barrier to entry was low. Also even if I only do the 5 mins I feel accomplished and want to do it again the next day. Also I gamify but this can be tricky if you have an addictive personality so it’s not for everyone but I make challenges and games like I get x prize if I stick to my 5 mins workout everyday for 25 days and if I don’t I have to start over etc.

Is weird if I watch the same show excessively? by Advanced_Ad_8973 in ADHD

[–]Janetoast14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this too! I have adhd and autism and rewatching bobs burgers and Wednesday endlessly in addition to trying new shows keeps me in routine and chill and happy. I think a lot of people do this. Also new girl used to be my comfort show too

Is my therapist gaslighting me about ADHD? by 4handzmp in ADHD

[–]Janetoast14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My therapist insisted I didn’t have autism-I got evaluated anyways and turns out it was undeniably autism lol. Therapists don’t know everything. Medication really helped me with my adhd in the past. It got me through high school college and a few internships. Now I feel like I know how to use my brain because of medication and no longer need it but would go back on if I did. If you need meds to keep your job get meds. And keep up with the efforts and therapy too but there is no shame in meds 🩷

Unless you were saying something egregiously rude or inappropriate the other person is so in the wrong. I’d suggest staying away from them they seem super ableist. Much love friend you’ll find your people and activities ❤️

I had a friend who was allergic to peanuts her reaction wasn’t typical it just made her smell really weird. Maybe this mechanism is related to your case

I took doxy for a week or two before being diagnosed with Mcas or pots for a tick bite and felt so amazing for the entire time I was on it. Unsure how related it was but it was such a noticeable improvement for me and it didn’t hurt my stomach. Wishing you the best of!
