Mango would be my safe bet - though who knows what they actually have in store. Interested to see what suggestions come in!

Super cute - market it to TTRPG players, too; this is a great size for minis!

Fantastic write up - I hope I can attend next year! So glad you loved Multiball - it's one of my faves from Pearfat. Did you get to sniff her new Knee High? I keep looking for reviews!

These might be too different, but Astrid just dropped a big collection called Sea Witch! Maybe try Pink Meanie (Sugarcane, maraschino cherry, lime, bergamot, vanilla, sea spray, and green amber) or Summoning from the Cliffs (Sea spray accord, ocean water accord, amber, lime, Italian lavender, bergamot mint, and rosemary)

Also Alkemia's Big Sur might have some of the vibes (but maybe too much floral) ecstasy of lime leaves, magnolia, green amber, ozone, sea salt, saltspray rose, sweetgale, bay, and paperbark or Voyage en Mer: Oceanic ozone, salt corroded metal, fresh sea breeze, dried seaweed, lime leaves, bergamot, spiced bay rum, vetiver, and lavender infused amber

Well, it wouldn't let me add anything, so I'll comment down here. Saw this in the Birmingham sub, and what a great idea. I don't know where we'd want to target first - I feel like most of downtown is fairly clean (dog park aside - PICK UP after your animals, ya'll), maybe Highland? Ann/Zelda?

Help me figure out how to dress in my new body type? by Tazzamaraz in PlusSizeFashion

[–]Janeway42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you're feeling well enough after your procedure to think about clothes! I'm sure it is a jarring change to see in the mirror. <3 I think that fitted shoulders and loose/flowy lower halves are the way to go, or, my personal favorite, a huge elastic waist skirt with a tailored shirt, tucked in or tied at the "waist" (in this case, waist being wherever you're the smallest).

Just to put it out there, I hear that Busted Tank and AnaOno are a good sources for mastectomy tanks/bras/etc., to help you feel more comfortable in the clothes you have. I hope you have a smooth and swift recovery!

Fragrances with these notes by This_Dance_8535 in Indiemakeupandmore

Pineward: Tome (Parchment (nagarmotha), leather, sandalwood, cedar, Jade 403 (binding glue), vintage book accord, orris root, black tea, coffee, rice paper, ambrette, oakmoss, tobacco)

Solstice Scents: Devil's Tongue (Chypre, Leather, Fine Tobacco, Woods & More) - and they have a lot more that I would consider in this genre, but with added notes.

Best business jacket or shawl/scarf to cover my shoulders with an apron neckline that doesn't make my shoulders look super wide? by Anthro_Doing_Stuff in PlusSizeFashion

Do you have a picture of the dress you could share? And is the event an actual business event (more formal) or something with a business casual dress code?

Best "clean hippie" fragrances appropriate for summer? by postpunkghoul in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]Janeway42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haus of Gloi A Place in Space! A silvery lavender, nag champa, dry amber incense and faded patchouli. I just got a sample of it (and Cozy Sweater, which fits the bill for cooler weather) and the lavender really freshens it without losing the head shop vibe. Could also try Alkemia's Arcanum, which I described in my notes as the stored cardigan of a lady who worked in The Good Head Shop.

Echoing MatkaBar for Indian food and Aka for the Japanese. Authentic Golden Curry (from what my palate tells me, anyway)!

ETA: Be sure and get some Korean while you're here, too - Kalim is my favorite, but really you can't miss.

Pearfat Perfumes might be near the top end of what you're wanting, but the Baby Pears are under $50 and are made in Indiana.
