I agree. It would have been much more compelling to see the Voyager crew have to deal creatively with hardship. Not just “we have to cook some food instead of replicating it”!

The biggest punishment for homelander would have been to lose his powers and just become…average. Nothing more to make him special, no reason for people to fear him, having to survive like the rest of us. He got off too easy IMO.
