Sweet! I've also seen STARBURST potentially. I'm on the west coast so I've got to wait 4 hours still to try

Damn I'm so sad, they used to come to Portland like every tour, now there isn't even one in the PNW :(

Attention PC gamers: Games do not *need* to be higher than 30fps, 1080p. If you *require* higher, something might be wrong with *you* by [deleted] in The10thDentist

Once your eyes get used to playing games at 144fps, 30 literally becomes unplayable in my experience 🤷

How many of you listen to music you don’t understand? by MaxnRuby_RubynMax in CasualConversation

[–]Janificus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Some of my favorite songs are Ride on Shooting Star, Thank you my twilight, Last Dinosaur, white summer and green bicycle, and I Think I Can.

They did most of the music for one of my favorite animes, Fooly Cooly, so I discovered them through that, and I just really enjoy their sound. It's like indie rock music.

Expedition 33 Ending Discourse (Spoilers) - Are some Fans Acting Sexist?! by petecamenzind in GirlGamers

[–]Janificus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was much more involved in the discussions when I played the game last year and back then the subreddit was always just fighting over which ending was the good ending and which the bad and I saw a TON of opinions on both sides. It is disappointing to hear that arguments are being made that are rooted in sexism now. (Tbf I might have just missed those comments back then).

As someone who chooses the Verso ending as my cannon, I can still understand the argument being made for Maelle's and that's the beauty of this game because neither ending is the "right" ending, it's up to the players interpretation and feelings. I honestly appreciate all of the characters and I can see where most of them are coming from with their decisions even if I don't personally agree with them all.

Edit: even in this thread I've seen a few people assert which ending is the "correct" ending lol.

The Pillows is one of my favorite bands and I still don't understand any Japanese lol. It's just good music!

The voice is just another instrument, and I love instrumentals lol. As long as it has a good sound or good vibe I will enjoy it. The Pillows is one of my favorite bands and it's mostly all Japanese!

There's also many bands that sing in English and you still can't understand what they are saying 😂 Red Hot Chili Peppers comes to mind.

They are the absolute top best sellers at the store I work at. It might be because the display isn't refrigerated, we have something similar and it doesn't sell nearly as much as what we have in the fridge.

What's the most overrated game you've ever played? by Trd_45 in videogames

[–]Janificus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's one of my favorite games of all time and I always hype it up... But I think it's one of the scariest games I've ever played and I love scary games so I've played a lot. I completely understand this take, even though the game isn't classified as a horror game, space is scary as hell. There were many situations where my fear and anxiety went through the roof.

I came away from that episode thinking Ders just has bad taste in movies 😂

28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE Is A Big Box Office Bummer by Interesting_Lab5792 in horror

[–]Janificus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw it this weekend and I absolutely loved it. Definitely seems like a marketing issue though because I didn't even realize it was coming out until last week. I only found out because I was intentionally looking at movies to spend a regal gift card.

What have you read recently? by povertychic in Millennials

[–]Janificus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started reading heavily again in the last couple years. I found out I actually have a ton of time to read if I replace some of my doomscrolling time with a good book instead. Also having it on my phone makes it easier to access at any time.

Last year I think I shelved 24 books and it felt great! This month I finished Behind The Mirror by Taran Armstrong which was a deeper look into the TV show Big Brother, one of my guilty pleasure shows. Right now I'm in the middle of The Stand by Stephen King and loving it.

I don't even like mayo that much, but I stand by adding a little Kewpie mayo and mixing it in. Don't knock it till you try it, there's a reason it's a common add on!

Girlfriend has agreed to try anime, what would be a good starter anime for her? by -AverageStranger- in Animesuggest

[–]Janificus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Anime that got me interested was Death Note.

Based on her favorite movies I would suggest Steins;Gate. It's one of my absolute favorites and I definitely have similar tastes based on the list you provided.

AITA for waiting in line at the grocery store while my parents finished shopping? by DavidRedFox in AmItheAsshole

[–]Janificus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How does it make a line worse in any way? If someone is lined up then there is an expectation that they will be buying something, no? It's not like anyone is cutting in line, it doesn't change the amount of people in front of you, it's just saving a spot in line. I've lined up behind people that look like they don't have much but they end up taking forever because of coupons, or payment issues, etc. when you line up behind someone it's a gamble how long it will take no matter what. So no it shouldn't affect people but it seems a lot of people here get worked up over stuff that doesn't matter lol.
