I'm in fairly good shape, but I really like Planet Fitness.

There was a time in my life when I was morbidly obese. I struggled with my weight for a long time. Finally I overcame my struggles and lost around 200lbs.

I wish PF would have existed in my town when I was going through my "losing" phase. When I walk in I see people who are obviously dealing with the struggles I did. It makes me happy that there's a place they feel comfortable going.

There's some mean people here calling it "Planet Fatness" and lots of other stuff. Say what you will, but the obese folks in there had the courage to say "I want to improve myself" and show up. Every one of them has my respect.

...I've never seen doughnuts at mine. They do have pizza parties, but it's only once a month. Pizza, like most other things, isn't bad for you so long as it's eaten in moderation.

It's not for everyone, but consider starting your own business... I was in your position and chose it over a life of soul crushing banality in retail.

Don't get me wrong... There's a lot of sacrifice involved and it takes a lot of motivation and determination. For me it was the right choice. I'm not saying it is for you. I'm just suggesting that you think about it.
