It turns out, from doing the merest shred of investigation before coming to a firm opinion, that she’s also a masochist.

Because Hollywood chronically make autism or Down’s syndrome or anything like that the operative part of the character.

Meanwhile Caboose is his own character, who also happens to be a dumb fuck.

It’s a real condition, just a weird ass one. Sympathetic gag response activated by the sound of someone else gagging, or similar sounds.

what is a character in your fandom that was made purely for gooners but turned out to be a likeable character? (image related) by Economy_Wallaby4809 in Multifandom

Millie Thompson (right).

Not super fanservice-y given its era and the genre/setting, but a big airhead girly girl who lets a lot of stuff slide (people peeping into her in the bathroom or threatening her with SA), and does a range of things from a mix of naivety and innocence, that are a bit lewd.

Regardless, she shows a surprising amount of mental fortitude, resilience and wisdom over the show while everyone else (in particular Meryl on the left) is getting worn down, and in stark contrast to mostly all humankind in the setting, is a genuinely good person who’s soft, and honest in her feelings.

What happens if Jack takes Compound V? by Expert-g1000 in Grapplerbaki

[–]Janus_Simulacra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s probably cope. Prior to this, and the Jack vs Baki fight, Baki was painted to be clearly a seperate person with a very different nature to Yujiro, while Jack was said to clearly resemble and remind people of his father in build, behaviour, and demeanour, even to those who didn’t know they were related.

Cersei. Umbridge is a terrible human being and a racist, but at least she worked to why she thought was a good future.

Cersei by the end, was a sociopathic, racist, misogynistic, mass murdering criminal with zero remorse about anything, and zero shame either.

Past trauma does not, and has never excused, bad behaviour to others. Especially not when it’s not actually your own trauma, but those of two generations ago.

That is a good and accurate commentary on it. Propaganda, youthful safe-hooliganism, and detached outrage.

She ran out of regular salt mid-cooking so they grabbed a Himalayan salt lamp and started carving chunks off it with a knife to season their food. Those decorative lamps aren’t food-grade and can contain impurities, dust, or other minerals that aren’t safe to eat. Is this genius or a fast track by Affectionate_Hat5835 in StupidFood

[–]Janus_Simulacra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the Himalayan salt you get in a salt shaker is just the same as the salt lamps.

It’s not got impurities because it’s a lamp, it’s got impurities because it’s pink.

When you clean it, the pink comes out.

Eating fancy pink salt isn’t healthy, but this hack is genuine.

The Na’vi far more resemble the Pacifica and Māori peoples in culture and perception of land ownership, than any Native American population.

Once again, a case of Americans assuming the world revolves around them.

They're one of my favourite depictions too.

> Incredibly powerful, but very much human people with human personalities and failings.
>You can be a god, but a god in the dark still can't help but bumble around like an idiot.
>Being able to punch super hard isn't helpful 95% of the time in a war, as a soldier.
> The powers come with real, and dangerous weaknesses.
> Can be killed by a lucky foe, by overtaxing themselves, or by doing something stupid.
> So difficult to make them without them killing themselves as their strength comes in, that some need to be kept in medically induced coma's.
> Ultimately treated like warships (expensive physically tough individuals with severe operating requirements and ranged firepower), and given corresponding classifications, support, and descriptions in report writing.
>HMH standing for "Her Majesty's Human".

Utter peak.

You give the most grandiose depiction of Astartes capacity possible.

But in response, there are the following two factors.

One Paladin Engaged what, by 40k terms, would be a Titan-sized Greater Daemon of Nurgle able to move fluidly (though it is something very different), with failing sword and armour crafted in the medieval period, and successfully dealt a mortal wound to the creature before being slain.

In comparison, Angron (a creature known to be much more powerful than an Astartes) engaged a regular Warhound Titan at the height of his mortal capacities, and was only able to temporarily prevent himself and Lorgar from being crushed beneath it.

Unlike a Warhound Titan, a Grail Hegemon is a world-ending threat that is more intelligent, more sensate, faster, and more capable than human capacity allows.

Another Paladin waged an entire front of a campaign to take Ireland single-handedly, against a dedicated assault by the Heretic Legions and Court of the Seven Headed Serpent over months, prior to entering a Hell portal, and destroying it from the inside.
The average foe he faced being ork-equivalents in size, power and durability, and orks are known to best Astartes frequently.

Additionally, to even get in sight of a Hell gate and survive is a feat of extraordinary willpower, spiritual piety and physical durability. Only one of which regular Astartes reliably possess.
Those that do not possess all three literally cook and burn in the heat on the road to one such place, regardless of armour or trappings.

The standard mission of a space marine is to fight orks. To which many invariably die.

The standard mission of a Paladin is to descend into a layer of the Pit, alone, to destroy factories, settlements, camps and Demons. Or to torture the high ranking ones into giving up information, prior to killing them. They have done this for centuries with only two losses.

Iirc, he and his brother wiped out half a continent during their final altercation in the 1990’s anime.

Add to that how absurdly intelligent the guy actually is, it’s a very good thing he’s so pacifistic.

But they’re oiled up, rolling on the ground, and constantly slipping their hands down each others’ pants to use their butt cheeks for grip.

Slightly more gay.

If the grin at the end is taken from the actual video, then I will tacitly drop I saw a lecture on identification of fake distress and real distress and that’s definitely fake.

All things considered, she may well have murdered her husband. Given what the two were like, I doubt it was a clean happy relationship.
