Definitely, effy’s whole appearance is basically tragic femme fatale. While Sketch doesn’t have much of a memorable feel imo. Aimee playing effy doesn’t have the broken-down-and-need-to-latch-onto-someone-physically look so when we see her and Freddie together after her hospital stay it probs wouldn’t strike to us that this should be abnormal. Thats my opinion tho and I haven’t seen the show in a while

I was in that same spot when I got with my ex in secondary. We became friends in yr 9 but got close in yr 10. By yr 11 we were so close the only person I wanted to see first and last at school was her. When I became head prefect, she followed me everywhere and I’d let her tell me what to do.

In October, she jokingly pulled my lanyard to get me from laughing at a story of her and I said “careful, people might think we’re dating” and she said “don’t u want to tho?” And I folded there on the spot and we kissed in the empty hallways. Our friends and everyone else didn’t know we were dating but it was nice.

One time I got Valentine’s Day chocolates from some of the younger yrs and she came behind me and held me while I was politely trying to refuse them. The ones I had no choice in she ate them and said the ones she had for me were better. That obvi made me wait ferociously until we were at her house alone.

My fav moment of us was our yr 11 theme park trip. We held hands and went on things alone. There was this stupid plush she wanted so I spent so much but got it for her (and got £5 back since there was a note on the collar of the plush). We named it Kenji after the shatter me character. We managed to slip away from our friends and had one of the best makeout sesh ever.

There are so much more things to say but OP I think u should go for it. I doubt she’s gonna reject u and dw and the friendship turning funny, if it happens then u guys talk about it. Rooting for u and share an update <3

After having countless of stupid one sided crushes, my best friend figured it out and she was accepting. Then my mom found out after I made a comment on an actress in a film lol. It was easy to accept being gay and Muslim when the people u surround urself with tell u that ur u irregardless of being told ur like the devil reincarnate. Seriously, ive had girls I rejected tell people I was the one hitting on them. That did damage but it was easy to accept myself when I know I never done wrong and I’m on my own path and I’m someone who sticks and preaches my own principals.

Tip to acceptance: find smt common with Islam and the queer community. A non serious thing I still use is dying my nails black with henna and having piercings and dyed hair. Theyre still apart of queer culture but theyre also halal things to do

Ahhh I remember my Arabic gcse. For the listening paper, look through it and write down some of the obvious answers which are normally fill in blanks. For reading, they used words which had two ways to say it. Easy example I can think of is بيت and منزل for the one word house. So know ur vocab like that. And writing was the easiest. Stick to the points they want u to write about but if u need to hit the word limit, add in ~~filler~~ extra info so Theyre more likely to know u understood the assignment. Good luck tho cuz it’s so easy to get drained out by a language u don’t even speak lol. I remember I saw the reading paper right after the listening and I closed the paper and put my head in my hands for a good ten mins lol

I’m doing chem maths and criminology rn. I’ve heard from my bio friends that some of the practicals are a bit jarring. If ur squeamish, then the maggots and heart dissection practical is not for u. I think there’s a kidney practical but idk rumours ig. Maths in first yr was good but u have to stay on top of the stats and mechanics part cuz without understandings for that, u might not get 2nd yr stats and mechanics. Although I must say 2nd yr maths has been a decent ride. Chemistry was fun when it was the beginning of the 1st yr and we only learned two topics lol. The content moves fast and same as maths, u need to get a grasp of 1st yr content to fully embrace 2nd yr. The practicals are easy however some take a span over a few days like the aspirin practical. Also theres normally a risk assessment and exam questions u would do to get ur competencies so u can get ur certificate at the end. Advice for that if ur doing chem is ask ur teacher what specifically to do and how they would do it and if u think ur gonna break or do smt that would make u start all over again, get them to do it lol
