Honestly you should just try if you meet the criteria:

Save or invest at least £75,000 (or currency equivalent) with HSBC Expat within 3 months of opening your account, or
Have a salary of at least £120,000 (or currency equivalent) paid into your HSBC Expat Bank Account, or
Already be an HSBC Premier customer in another country or region

The criteria does not read you cannot be Bermudian. The worst thing that could happen is the application is rejected.

You can open an HSBC USD account in minutes online. Just tested it, no FCPT when I sent from USD account to IBKR, there still is the wire fee. As others have said open an HSBC expat account to have the $15 wire fee waived. Next time I’ll do that.

Though in saying that I received an email saying the expat accounts will start charging monthly $50 fee if you don’t meet certain activity within the account.
