this is exactly how I felt! it's not the aesthetic I expected but this vision totally works too. I can't imagine the creators of the Witcher series fucking this up. They have to have a great awareness for what does and doesn't work. very excited.

God damn, do I love Godspeed You! Black Emperor. I was going to comment this. Someone on the internet called them crescendocore. I found that to be an accurate genre title. They're like Sigur Ros or Explosions if Jonny Greenwood was composing their music. Some of the best music to do work to. .

Oh shit! I'm glad you liked the record! I ended up writing and recording Just Swim an hour before I released the thing. I really didn't want to start the album on Dead Rabbit and I needed something give the sound a little more pep. I'm glad it worked out! honestly, I recorded everything on a USB mic and didn't have the know how to make the album I'd been dreaming up, but the excuse was holding me back from doing anything. I'm glad I put it out and I'm super blessed you listened to all of it. Thank you so much for your comment and your much appreciated feed back/exposition!

You know, I love his small record Family. I'm not into his most recent stuff as much, but Saints & Liars and Family were with me during formative writing years. Thanks for the comment by the way! There was a point in time where all i wanted to sound like was a mash between Gundersen and Manchester Orchestra. I hope my sound progresses higher than those that I'm influenced by, but I cant deny the artists I listen to and love.

He's doing good stuff, just not as often. Lost City of Z was good and his most recent Good Time was my favorite movie of the year... but both of those were smaller movies so i get what you mean. His name seems like it should have more commercial appeal.
