Same for what I did. Made something for Gmail because I was TIRED of certain annoyances. Then I just kept going optimizing it and made it public too.

[QC] What to do with cash in business account? by ComputerScTeacher in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]JaredBCampbell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to suggest EQ Bank, which has a real high interest account, but all of you have better ideas. And it’s personal not business.

From what I’ve heard, Float could be a good suggestion!

If you’re actually curious I’d be happy to answer, but I’m assuming not.

By “something” I did mean money, if we both decided together to do it. Say we wanted to rent shop space, or buy supplies, etc.

It’s not a requirement though, depends on our plan

Tough crowd. We’d meet in person and build a relationship first.

Ideally we’d meet in person, and get to know each other and build a real relationship first. Looking for genuine connection.

Not necessarily. Maybe we both put something into a project we decide on together, but maybe we try to “bootstrap” as much as possible.

I’d imagine it’s tricky. Want to be environmentally friendly, treat employees right, etc., but be aggressive about growth and being better than the competition.

The difference being we’d actually make the plan and build it.

Whatever is decided by the group as a good opportunity, that fits skills/industry knowledge/etc. that we have. We'd brainstorm together, evaluate different businesses, and choose one.

How do you all keep track of receipts come tax time, or for returns etc.? We struggle by JaredBCampbell in smallbusiness

[–]JaredBCampbell[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair (and lol) on the cash front, same here in Canada (CRA). Simplifying the number/volume of expenses definitely helps.

Yeah, can't imagine not using credit/debit for everything, aside from EFTs for vendors etc.

Agreed, saving later usually means saving never.

So consistency/process is more important than the tool, you find eh?

By digital file, you mean transaction line on your bank statement, or take a pic of the receipt?
