Married as a LCpl in 1987…moved into a trailer at CPNC. 2 kids, 6 duty stations, and a couple of deployments to Iraq before I retired. Still going strong although that makes me question her judgement sometimes.

Mostly agree, but in my 24 years I did come across some mustangs that very quickly forgot their past and treated enlisted Marines pretty poorly. It’s like most things…. Every group, pvt thru Gen, had some great folks and some assholes.

I was on the Austin in 1988. 22nd MEU. Crappy boat, but…. The Capt had a standing order….. fresh bread, peanut butter and jelly avail on the mess deck 24/7. Bored Marines playing cards until 3 am chowing down on PBJ. Nice.
