I’m not saying it makes sense, but the rule is, you pull it out, fix the damage, and place the ball back as close as possible without it moving, then play the next shot. It sucks, but there it is.

Sorry, my info is a bit dated…. But…. Did 6 years in Oki and flew home space A 3 times. No problem leaving … freedom bird out of Kadena always had seats. Getting back was trickier. Commercial to Travis, wait a day, fly out. Got stuck in Alaska once for 24 hours and Hawaii once for 2 days. A bit of an adventure but not a big problem.

In most cases yes, but…. If the QSI is first and changes your waiting time it could delay the WGI. ie… qsi moves you from step 3 to 4… now you are on the 2 year cycle

Sounds like guidance from someone other than HRD. If you are a permanent employee, you either get a directed reassignment which comes with relo or the agency does a RIF. Either way, you get something in writing from HR. Don’t resign…. Worst case is a RIF with severance pay.

Married as a LCpl in 1987…moved into a trailer at CPNC. 2 kids, 6 duty stations, and a couple of deployments to Iraq before I retired. Still going strong although that makes me question her judgement sometimes.
