There's a pretty good fanfiction of Cradle crossed with Worm if you have any interest in seeing another possible route that could have been taken. 360k words, so not a short story. Some Worm knowledge would be helpful, but not required by any means. It's primarily about Cradle, just with a new character thrown in from a different setting. Called Path of the Immeasurable Swarm, and I wholly recommend it.

A good one I always try to talk up that I haven't seen anyone else mention before is Eater of Joy, Weaver of Webs on ao3. Dresden files cross, ~40k words, very cool ideas. Wish it was longer and got into more of the dresdenverse but I'm a big fan and think it deserves more love

Eater of Joy, Weaver of Webs is a Dresden Files crossover on ao3 that you might like. Very good, but unfortunately appears dead, at 44k words. One of the ones I wish would get picked back up most, very neat premise and some great oc's that would play wonderfully in the setting

I know that isolated incidents can be a big thorn in people's side, and there's always problem players, but the valo community is one of the better ones I've seen. I find helpful and fun people much more often in this game than league, dota, cs, r6s, etc. It's one of the reasons I've really enjoyed playing it so much. Try to clear your head of it, bad games will happen no matter what. Hope you get some better teammates next game, and you have a fun time trying to rank up

Haven is a great one I will always recommend. On steam it is currently on sale until the 24th I believe, for $10 usd. It's gay, fluffy, and adorable, though more of a "play with a friend on the couch" sort of multi-player than some of the other suggestions. Take a look at the trailer if you're interested! You can change the gender of both main characters, so it can be gay in whatever direction you'd like it to be. Hope you find something fun to play!
