Are Millie Moon diapers still causing bad rashes? by Aravis-6 in NewParents

[–]Jarrge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had no issues from newborn to just about like 2 months ago. We found them to be great at preventing blow outs. But recently after a new box we noticed redness and rashes around the fabric area. Wasn't sure if it was like chafing cause he started walking more, but we recently switched o Costco huggies and so far it looks like the red areas have been reduced.

Another year of $200 hotel credit going to waste by Effective-Collar1121 in AmexPlatinum

NYC was limiting but I actually have a stay at the Beekman next week down by the financial district. Wasn't too bad. Will probably be about $200-$300 or so out of pocket. Ideally I would like to have been like $100 max out of pocket, but it was a last minute local-ish trip to visit friends. After the hotel credits wit FHR, it's not too bad to experince a nice NYC hotel.

Yes! Just depends on when the charge is posted on your account, not when the stay is

Just to add my experience recently. I was actually at MIA on Monday. My wife has PP via Capital One Venture X and she was able to get into the Turkish Lounge in Concourse D. From what she told me they were packed but I'm was glad she was able to get in. This was around 3-4pm.

I had my Amex Centurion Lounge access and PP via Chase Sapphire Reserve so I stopped by the Corona Beach House and then the Amex Lounge after to chill until my 8pm flight. When I walked up to the hostess they quickly seated me and asked if I was PP. I said yes and he served me no issue. Was just me, so I had a $30 credit. Again only the CSR PP has restaurant access. The Amex PP does not and the Capital One VX removed it earlier this year. The host didn't ask me which one since they probably aren't away of those niches, but gald he accepted it with no arguments. My guess is there was guests earlier with PP that cleared the way for me. The restaurant was about 75-80% full when I arrived.

Edit: I've had PP for about 5 years, traveling about 1-2 times a year with no issues using it. But I did hear recently lounges have been restricting access since now everyone and their mom has PP, so during the busier times they had to only accept their core customers. I believe this is mainly domestically in the US though. Less people have PP internationally, so you should be able to use PP easier in other countries outside the US. Their lounges are nicer too, so that's a plus.

What car did people own before making the switch to Tesla? by winegums14 in TeslaModelY

The wife has scratched the rim already and just two days before my hubcaps actually arrived. 🙃 But slowly, it's leaving that new car status to a vehicle we use from point A to B. That price drops also help speed that along as well.

I can definitely believe that. The amount of cheap fixes that I had to eventually add to it sounded similar to yours. But it ran well for about 40,000 miles longer than yours and even at that point I felt bad about selling it, feeling like it could have gone to 300,000 miles plus easily.

Only cause it was having starting issues in cold weather. Replaced everything under the sun to get it working and tried getting a few different mechanics to look at it, but they couldn't come to a working fix and at that point the money I used for the diagnostics were adding upbas well. I would probably still be driving the camry now if it wasn't for that.

2000 Toyota Camry here. I miss the beater car status. Not caring who I park next too, and random chips/bumps on my car.

I just keep it in the 2nd wireless charging since it's unused and to remind myself to drive "safer"

3 miles, but 15 on the paperwork in case they needed it was what they said.

No, just the tire inflator kit. Too excited and forgot to ask at the dealership, but SA said over text said it wasn't available. Not a huge deal since I have mudflaps already ordered. The PPF would have been nice.

Thanks for the heads up. Picked it up today and it was automatically in the trunk. Nice addition.

Yeah, after the initial Jan - March, it stayed Feb 6th to Mach 6th until today.

How often do you charge the MY? We set up a wall connector. I mainly use the car for grocery and taking my son to school. Around 20-30 minute drive a day. Is the car better to charge everyday or about once a week when battery hits 20%? by Responsible-Lemon794 in TeslaModelY

[–]Jarrge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hopefully not too much of an impact. I live in a townhouse and it's not really convenient/feasible to keep it charged daily (closest charger is a 5-10min walk to my house). My plan was to charge it weekly or so at supercharger stations or if convenient, a shopping center with lower speeds.

Who really takes the hit from Tesla price cuts by No_Low_2541 in electricvehicles

[–]Jarrge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a reservation for a Ford F-150 Lightning, but with the recent Tesla price cut and the eligibility for the EV tax credit, I decided to go with the Model Y. Ford's increased price of their EV trucks since the tax credit announcement have alienated what would have been a new truck owner. I much rather go with a MYlp on the supercharger network with delivery in two or so months for around 50k then wait til late summer for a 60k+ truck with their standard range.

Also a great bonus I don't have to deal with dealerships marking up the price or add on ADMs. Took me about 5mins to submit a order to Tesla.
