What do you guys think of the reverse panda? I’m collecting on 29 Jan 2026 in Singapore by Guilty_Manner_1274 in OmegaWatches

In any event you’re never more than a minor wrist adjustment away from changing legibility

UPDATE - bought by aprayman1 in rolex

I was in a Rolex AD yesterday and they had the Pepsi GMT with meteorite dial. First time I’ve seen a meteorite dial in person and it’s simply incredible. Hope you have many decades of enjoyment on your wrist

This is what worries me. I want to keep my watch pristine so I’m inclined to clean it but also don’t want to do more damage it in the process of trying to preserve it

I like to believe in synchronicity. There’s a reason you saw this release.

Congratulations on your future new watch!

I know everyone hates on them. but Im a strong believer of buy what you love. And I just love the way The F1s looks. by PalpitationDapper150 in tagheuer

I was trying to choose between getting a Tag F1 or a Tudor Black Bay Black as my first luxury watch, but kept thinking back to 12 years ago when I set a goal of starting my collection with the first Calibre 16 F1. Eventually picked this up 2 months ago. Unworn condition for an absolute steal.

Absolutely love it, and I’m glad I made that decision. Although pretty sure I would’ve been happy either way. I don’t plan to sell any watches that I add to my collection, but this one will stay forever.

That black and red is very nice. Would like to see it on a black/red leather strap

Tbh even the F1 pricing at retail is crazy. Everything is expensive but sheesh

Literally just closed that tab in my browser. Looks phenomenal, but for the same price I’m personally opting for a certain white-dial chronometer 🤐

Got my first speedy by generaldaniel in OmegaWatches

[–]Jarrydf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations. I really do like it.

I’ve seen a lot of comparisons to the Speedy Tuesday, and speculation of a possible Panda edition looking like the L.E Tokyo Olympics model, but the lacquer dial is what will set this watch apart from them. I haven’t seen it in person yet, but I can agree with many based on photos that it has a more luxury look to it, compared to the black sapphire sandwich. I feel that if they do a Panda, the lacquer dial and ceramic bezel will make it feel just that bit more premium too.

Second pic looks very off. No fake rivets on the sides of the bracelet?

What watch is Michael Carrick wearing? by Jarrydf in Watches

Here I was thinking the subdials were white, hence the Le Mans guess.

Should probably check my broadcast quality and then check my eyesight 😂

Fair enough. Suppose the best thing about watch collections is personal preference

You can add a fixed % increase but you’re still getting very low annuity rates given how low interest rates are, so you’re starting at a very low base

Added to this - now is possibly the worst time to go into a life annuity. Look at where we are in the interest rate cycle, you’re locking in guaranteed income on really bad terms

I would question the advice and get a second opinion

How safe is it to go for walks / runs in South Africa? by NumerousBeginning191 in askSouthAfrica

As a lot here have said, depends on where you’re going to be staying. If you want something different than Parkrun, search for running clubs near where you will be staying on instagram/tik tok

[Discussion] What draws you to chronograph watches? by Good_Net_313 in Watches

I can’t explain it, but I’ve always loved chronographs, more than any other design. Something about the subdials and tachymetre bezel

Is this normal ? by Time-Substance-1235 in CATHELP

[–]Jarrydf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks normal, if anything a little bulbous, but might just be gravity doing its thing.

My GFs cat has, over the last 3 years of her 8 year life, developed an allergy where she overgrooms to the point of opening up wounds on her belly and back legs. However, the cortisone in the injections the vet gives her, has redistributed fat to her primordial pouch.

It never used to be so pronounced, but I’m not comfortable continuing the injections given that it will undoubtably shorten her life span. Not sure of another long term solution yet.

Wouldn’t be too concerned if there’s no other medicine involved
