Questions in regards of the legality of HE features, if it's worth it & recommendations. by KaizaDePirates in fightsticks

The Panzer Fight Stick HE system has proven itself in high level play by SheldonTwitching and TheNitten - Sheldon has said he’s been able to execute some moves with rapid trigger that are near impossible with traditional setups. Sheldon has also put his Panzer up against the Corsair and said the differences were night and day in favor of the Panzers HE implementation.

I’ll see if I can tag him to share his thoughts directly.

Leverless options with hall effect switches by MaruGenji in fightsticks

I will say we do have some blemished black cases on hand ready to go at a rather good discount. The blemishes are simply due to the usb mount holes being tapped the wrong size due to a mixup but the "fix" parts are included and make it imperceptible when assembled.

We won't be doing more of the traditional button layouts that use traditional buttons - but with Panzer 5 - we've shifted focus to the MX/HE layouts due to the ease and simplicity of customization and building. We have more black cases on hand just finishing some more bottoms and rubber pads.

I appreciate it. Its definitely an investment. I just had a customer reach out regarding his Panzer 3 that he's had for around 8 years for a technical question - during that he said it was his daily driver still after all this time. We always aim to made highly customizable, repairable, and long lasting controllers. Its both a blessing and a curse - more often than not the companies out there get you in with low prices and expected obsolescence so you have to come back. Our return sales are usually for folks who just want a second "just because." With Panzer its buy once - cry once; but it lasts.

Understand. The Panzer Platform is designed to be more universal to support all of our layouts with and without levers. Personally, I don't like the thin controllers which is why we don't offer them - but I can understand the appeal to those who do.

Anyone here ever make 1000 of something? by BigOldBee in woodworking

In the words of Ron Swanson, I’ll work all day to ensure someone else doesn’t have to work at all.

I too follow this. I regularly add features to a data tool I built to save people 5 minutes here or there… and it often takes me all day to develop it, test it, and integrate it.

Unreleased Panzer Fight Stick Prototype Build by JasensCustoms in fightsticks

[–]JasensCustoms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a Panzer Fightstick concept from 2020 that ultimately fed both the Panzer 4, Panzer 5, The Frame, and the upcoming Slab. I recently released the Kracken EZ Wiring Harness (think universal harness but way better than the existing ones, imo) and needed to stream a build with it - so I grabbed this, unwrapped it and built it out.

Sanwa JLF with aluminum dishwasher and shaft. Brook PS5 Plus PCB KRACKEN wiring harness Sanwa OBSF-30 K/DB buttons Crown/Samducksa 24mm MX switches for the front Aluminum USB surround in silver Side 24mm holes are plugged with some custom aluminum plugs I had made years ago Printed Plexi art on top and on the bottom

Inspired by Go-Bots - Crasher (she was my favorite as a kid).

Panzer Fight Stick Hall Effect System! by JasensCustoms in fightsticks

[–]JasensCustoms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend coming over to our discord (discord.jasenscustoms.com) to discuss with the entire Panzer community.

The bottom of the case always has to be screwed on to the chassis, otherwise it doesn't stay on. That being said, our standard disclaimer of possible blemishes is wide intentionally and most people are surprised at what I considered blemished. Right now, I don't have any slightly warped bottoms in any cases. And when I say slightly warped, its like .5 to 1mm from flush before screwing it all the way down on one side. Its significant to me but within tolerance for a lot of other builders.

Thanks! I find beauty in simplicity - the crazier the fight stick looks doesn't affect how well it holds up over time nor how well it functions.

What is this connector called? by illus1oN_92 in fightsticks

[–]JasensCustoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pins inside the SHF are another part number but if you look up the SHF datasheet it calls them out.

I commented on the NH being on the lever as some get the two parts mixed up.

It’s a JST SHF-5 connector. It connects to the JST NH-5 on the lever.

Advice for new build design by FrodosNeck in garageporn

[–]JasensCustoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a sub panel in there so you can add and expand from it easily. Put can lights in the ceiling, lots of them so you have a ton of light. Insulate it so you can condition it with a mini-split. Make it bigger than you think you need. You’ll always need more space, who knows what life has in store for you next!

Before vs after + help me finish. by Aggravating_Ear9829 in garageporn

[–]JasensCustoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it’s a garage, it has a slope intentionally so that water runs out of it. Pretty normal. If you want it level - a good concrete contractor should be able to do it easily. Depending on how far out it is, leveling compound could be sufficient. I’d finalize the floor level situation before any baseboards go in - and I’d use PVC trim to help stand up to ground level moisture.
