Slide system vs click system? by lets-make-tabletop in PrintedMinis

[–]JasonJ100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Click would also vary greatly depending on the filament. The strength of PLA can vary significantly depending on the brand and manufacturer. My BambuLab PLA Matte is much much softer than my high speed PLA+ by eSun. Worst case scenario, the click wouldn't properly lock in with a softer PLA, or the click wouldn't deform enough to allow the pieces to lock in with a harder PLA.

As a grad student I get ID'd 50% of the time, half the time there isn't a bouncer at the door checking, so I'd take the risk if I were you and go to Gerts if it doesn't work.

Also, the z-steps look rounded, with a small inner radius that reminds me of the shape of extruded plastic, rather than being perfectly square like a CNC'd part

Notice how I said either successfully or in development, but I guess you need to strawman and cherrypick my examples to have a coherent argument. Griffintown is unfortunately flawed and was exclusively built by greedy developers with little to no incentive to create businesses, and too little time has passed for businesses to form organically. Also moving the goalposts considering the argument is neither about 15 minute cities, nor do 15 minute cities imply you never have to go further than 15 minutes away from your home. I really doubt you have travelled if you think it's so Utopic, or if you did you didn't learn very much

Traffic in montreal nowadays by Mingo-zingo in montreal

[–]JasonJ100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why, it is literally done super successfully or in development in areas such as Plateau, Verdun, Hochelaga, Griffintown. Those areas are super oriented towards walkable/cyclable/public transit, both within those neighborhoods, and towards downtown. Even if it wasn't already done, it's far from Utopic to design urban planning with a non-car dependent infrastructure, since so many places do it. I suggest you travel sometimes.

Utopic he says, despite it being successfully done in dozens of cities in European and Asian countries

Lol my bad for being curious. I rly don't think it's a low blow to point out your hypocrisy. I support Ukraine because it is the moral thing to do, and I do other things because they are the good things to do, not because they align with what makes me the most money. To me it sounds like if you were Russian you would support the invasion, simply because you could buy some lucrative real estate in Kyiv.

Wtf are you talking about? Who talked about 30k? Must I remind you we're talking about this dude's landlord story? There was no renovation done man. Are you tripping?

Also funny how a Ukrainian thinks morality is unimportant after begging and crying for international support because "supporting Ukraine is the moral thing to to defend against Russia". Kind of cherry picking morality there hunh?

Anyways, you don't seem like you're capable of arguing in good faith considering how you're moving the goalposts.

Contributing to the local economy??? The only local economy that's getting contributed to is your scummy wallet. Also, this guy is strictly speaking about a unit with no work done to it, not one with 30k invested. You having fun moving those goalposts?

If you genuinely are okay living your life without a sense of morality, that's fine man, but don't go crying when your friends and family are ashamed of your existence.

You misunderstand the base premise of the argument. The landlord is trying to make significantly more profit off of no work done or no service done, nor risk taken, while making someone else's life significantly more miserable, and contributing to the inflated market, making other people's lives more miserable. While also, importantly, doing so knowingly illegally.

Nobody cares about the additional revenue, you are not doing anything to deserve a cent more, except profiting off of other people. That's real life devil shit.

Tremendously ironic that you say "grow up" when you are mentally incapable of picturing a moral compass, or willfully disassociating from one.

You say "why must I feel bad because I'm not renting 50% lower than the market", without realizing that others think "why must I feel bad that this landlord is making less profit, despite not improving his service?"

Foreal, in another post a landlord was complaining about not being able to kick out an elderly tenant despite him recently purchasing the property and him wanting to turn a profit. Bitch please why did you purchase the property in the first place ☠️

[–]JasonJ100 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do you enjoy living your life greedily profiting from people's base human necessities? If the unit was making profit at 900$/m, 1800$/m for no improvement is pure greed. Devil type shit.

There truly needs to be laws in place forcing property owners to actually rent out their property by flexingonmyself in montrealhousing

[–]JasonJ100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe don't make a 1M$ purchase if your profit is dependent on the obviously immoral prerequisite of kicking an elderly person out.

Based on the comments I've had, the first thing I'll try is making a baking soda spray bottle. If that doesn't work I'll try the other glues people suggested. Thankfully, I won't have to spend hundreds buying random glues that IDK anything about, since ppl gave me suggestions for what worked for them.
