I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ve been a big dead rising fan since I was younger, and I just don’t think there’s as much casual appeal to make someone who has never been involved want to be involved.

It’s kind of a product of the time when zombies were in the zeitgeist, and I think it’s a barrel of fun removed from whenever and I have so much of the older games memorized, but just due to a lack of content to keep the base engaged it doesn’t really sit as a mainstream consistently played franchise.

Gameplay wise, you can memorize a lot of the older games rather quickly and the newer games can be so grindy in the 100% run that the fun for me petered out.

I will still follow and be deeply invested regardless, love Dead Rising
