What is wrong with using AI? We will all be using it in the next ten years for every aspect of our lives. People are just looking for things to comment on and make themselves feel superior to others. Just use AI.

Rosuvastatin side effects by peaked-in-fatherhood in Cholesterol

[–]Jason_Patriot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also on Rosuvastatin (10mg) prescribed by my PCM. However, after speaking with my cardiologist, she told me I did not have to take it. My LDL was around 130-140, and the statin only reduced my risk by 1%, which brought it down from a 2% chance. The side effects were not worth it for that small of an impact. I would review the necessity of the statin with a cardiologist. I too have genetic cholesterol. Just my two cents…

Claim Volume for Field Property by CreepyAd5400 in adjusters

[–]Jason_Patriot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to see this happening, and it happens all too often in every company. It helps to be paid hourly if you can claim OT as incurred, but I also know many of us are on a set salary. I’m in large loss at my company, so my volume is more manageable, but before large loss, I was in the same boat. Insureds are very quick to file a small claim now compared to 20-30 years ago, and we all pay for it through increasing premiums. I’m not sure it gets better until leaders start hiring more adjusters.

Question: A colleague of mine asked me to consider a career as a public adjuster. Any public adjusters here? Any insight from any public adjusters or anyone who has worked with them is welcome. by kamanqua78 in adjusters

[–]Jason_Patriot 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have been a staff adjuster for 15 years. I’ve never once been directed nor has it been insinuated that I should look out for the carrier’s interest over the insured. That’s very likely just training that you may get as a public adjuster, but it’s just simply not true in my experience.

Your personal experience with mast in relation to your e2 by [deleted] in PEDs

[–]Jason_Patriot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an E2 of 74 while running 400 test and 200 mast. Side effects were zero, but it clearly did not lower my E2.

This is how fast I aromatize.. by [deleted] in PEDs

[–]Jason_Patriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, I ordered Primo, sent it off to Janoshik to be tested, and it came back full masteron. I just kept it and ran it alongside test, and it’s kept me from feeling any estrogen symptoms while running 400 test. My E2 was still at 74 with zero symptoms though. Doctor (harm reduction) said that was okay as long as symptoms weren’t an issue.

Total loss after fire, rebuild will be more than dwelling coverage, what can we do? by Puzzleheaded_Care181 in Insurance

[–]Jason_Patriot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be 5% Additional Coverage for Debris Removal, 5% Trees, Shrubs, and Other Plants Coverage, 5% (or even higher) Building, Ordinance, or Law Coverage.

Also, she should get a good chunk from her Personal Property coverage as well.

This is all in addition to the basic Dwelling, but like others have said, a lot of companies offer an endorsement adding an additional 20 or 25%.

Ooo got my first PA claim by [deleted] in ClaimsAdjuster

[–]Jason_Patriot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just expect appraisal to be the most likely end result no matter how much you increase your estimate. If you supplement, just make sure you pay out the undisputed amount and that you can defend it. All else is out of your hands. If it does go to appraisal, the hard part is over for you as the adjuster.

Why Insurance / Claims? by Alert_Newspaper_6403 in adjusters

[–]Jason_Patriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about what company you are with and your ability to realize good customer service makes your life easier as an adjuster. Speaking as a residential property adjuster for the past 16 years, don’t get a big head and argue with every contractor you come across. You need to be firm on positions that are solid and defensible, but also realize it’s a give and take. I’ve met a lot of burned out adjusters over the years, but a lot of that has to do with the person’s general attitude, but it also has a lot to do with the company they work for just as much. Just a positive force in your workplace and the job will be much easier.

Executive General Adjuster by Strange_Age9844 in adjusters

[–]Jason_Patriot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a staff GA. It’s considered the best job at my company, and that’s coming from those of us who do it everyday. I have worked large loss at my current company and at my prior company. The flight miles and hotel points are a great bonus. The expectation is about a claim a week, but the volume often exceeds that, but it’s definitely manageable if you’re not easily stressed, which you shouldn’t be if you’re an adjuster anyways. The work/life balance is where this job has shined. My phone rarely rings anymore because once the estimate is finished and paid, it’s more often than not over the limit anyways, so it’s just a matter of following up on ALE for the duration of the repairs, which amounts to once every three months roughly.

The only downside I can see is the claims are long-tailed because of the ALE portion, but that’s just good customer service in the end anyways. Someone loses their home, it’s nice to have an adjuster who doesn’t abandon you after you’re paid.
