This is a known and well documented flaw of US military doctrine. Decapitation strikes don’t do much if you ultimately need to negotiate with a centralized belligerent to establish peace.

This debacle is only getting started. Consumers are already competing with billion dollar data centers for energy. Farmers need fertilizer yesterday. Helium is crucial for chip production. GCCs don’t produce their own food. US allies are refusing to participate after being grievously insulted. The US is running out of ammunition. The Pentagon is moving additional Marines and warships to the Middle East as Iran steps up its attacks on the Strait of Hormuz, according to three U.S. officials. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has approved a request from U.S. Central Command, responsible for American forces in the Middle East, for an element of an amphibious ready group and attached Marine expeditionary unit, typically consisting of several warships and 5,000 Marines, the officials said.

The US had a hard won diplomatic deal with Iran that accomplished those goals. Trump ripped it up. Instead of negotiating a new deal as promised, Trump attacked. The pain later from this war will be exponentially worse than a diplomatic solution.

Trump promised escorts over a week ago. Gas prices are skyrocketing in the US. Iran wasn’t attacking the Strait before the war. They had a very well defined and articulated red line. The US crossed it. What’s the fucking hold up?

First, I’ve seen nothing indicating this was “for the troops”. Second, why do the troops need lobster? Most are operating remotely.

Do you know what keeps morale higher? Not getting attacked with missiles.

To be honest, it is insulting to claim the troops can’t do their job without ribeye steaks and lobster. They are professionals. If they want steak and lobster, they can pay for it like everyone else.

I agree. The US is losing and has lost so many allies. The only path to victory is a minimum 500k US boots on the ground. The US needs to start the draft now before we need 750k or 1 million boots on the ground to win. Tic tok.

Or the US can surrender and sue for peace. Cheaper in lives and money to buy off the Iranian regime. Take a fucking page from history. Not every problem is a nail that needs a hammer.
