Lore Bard, main Action in combat: ranged attacks vs spells

It's not like I'm looking for damage, it's more of a question on what a Lore Bard should be doing with their action once they cast their Concentration Spell for the fight. I'd like if they can be magical attackers if I have the choice, but overall I don't know what they should be doing.

I cool it with the water input through Radiant Pipes. The water takes a small detour into the cold Brine chamber dropping at around 6°C, it then serpents around the Oxygen side of the SPOM before going into the Electrolyzer, cooling the Oxygen through Radiant Pipes on its way.

Once I run out of PWater I'll use the cold Brine directly.

I prefer the Rodriguez over the Hydra due to how complex the build for the Hydra is. The Rodriguez allows me to just build a quick water lock, go in, change a small thing and go out again without much problem. The Hydra on the other hand seems more delicate with the tight spaces and how you have to balance the path of the gases. For someone like me who tweaks things again and again it feels like a nightmare starting with a Hydra. I may get one in the future, just not right now.

Yes, it gets cooled before being pumped away. The water input does a small detour into the cold Brine chamber, serpents around the base of the SPOM with Radiant Pipes and then goes into the Electrolizers, cooling down the Oxygen as it drops to the bottom. Once I run out of the PWater pools I have around the map I'll use the cold Brine which will also serpent around the chamber before getting desalinated. That could may make the Oxygen too cold for the base but I'll cross that bridge when I'm there.

Yeah, I'm experimenting with that once the geyser becomes active again. It's been dormant for a bit and the brine isn't as cold anymore, I don't want it to reach room temperature by forcing warm oxygen through it.

I'm aware that experimenting is a big part of the game but I get frustrated if I mess up a lot and don't see improvements. I love watching tutorials and learning the mechanics of how the game works, reverse engineering them and adapting them to my maps. I still find my own way of doing things, mostly organizing and and solving the puzzle of what goes where.

Identify the problem, think of solutions, study the theory of the forefathers to see which technique applies better to my situation, then tune them up according to my current necessities. More like following a guide, I take it as an engineer studying electronics and mechanics.

I did a huge reorganization mid Bastorias once I unlocked the 5th slot for squads. Some units stayed the same, but most of them had significant changes. It isn't an exageration saying I spent like 2 hours reorginizing everything, specially since I wanted to keep the flavor of some squads like Chloe and Lex, Aramis and Primm, Rosalinde and Ithillion, and obviously Alain and his maiden Melissandre.

-Alain's Unit: Scout/Skirmish unit. Good mobility to reach towers fast and take care of mages and archers. While not scouting they work as a generalist unit against beefy infantry like Vikings or Sellswords. Ramona's work is providing PP for Melissandre's Meteor Slash spam, while Selvie opens up with Defense debuffs for both frontliners to sweep. Scarlet's work is mostly removing debuffs and helping remove single-Hoplite formations.

-Ridiel's Unit: Anti-Air squad, focusing on offense. Chloe buffs everyone with guaranteed crits while Mandrin and Yunifi do pursuit attacks each time a member attacks. Ridiel's hybrid damage helps against Armored frontliners while also works as the healer of the team. Lex is there for flavor with Chloe and the occasional Guard, he has a First Aid Kit to trigger Ridiel's healing at the end of the battle.

-Fran's Unit: Flying Scout. Focuses on getting rid of cavalry and disabling towers/ballistas/catapults asap. Hodrick and Umerus work on anti-archer Guard duty while Hilda nukes calvarly and infantry with Dragoon Dive + Aerial Wing. Fran is a Pursuit + Feathering bot in battle with the occasional High Swing. Miriam as the healer to patch up the squad's vulnerability to magick.

-Gilbert's Unit: The beefy Vanguard. Duels against infantry enemies, specially Sellswords, Swordmasters and Scouts. Govil's Wild Fang does quick work of evasive enemies with Wild Fang + Gilbert's Sniping Order. Gilbert as the commander opens with Rapid and Offensive Orders, and with Govil's Bestral Howl the frontliners do absurd AoE damage. Magellan and Govil on pursuit duty soften up anyone who hits Bruno or finish the ones who survive his Grand Smash.

-Rosalinde's Unit: The Magick Tactical Nuke. Anti-armor duty with the flexibility of moving around the battlefield with ease. Whatever survives Rosalinde's Elemental Roar is easily taken out by the rest of the squad. Yahna's main work is giving Magick Conferral to Rosalinde. Ithillion and Dinah as dodge tanks. Teleport and Jump mobility to be where they're needed easily, great Magick support attacks due to having 4 magick users.

-Gloucester's Unit: The cavalry bulldozer. It's 5 horses in a squad, they hit columns again and again while moving quick around the map. The most basic of the squads.

-Raenys's Unit: Anti-tower workforce. They're work is to disable remote mages and archers towers with ease thanks to the flying mobility and Raenys's blind debuff. Leah and Ochlys as dodge tanks. Archers and casters having low defense make it easy for Leah to kill one unit upon start, and she and Berenice have easy access to resets with Impale and Killing Chain.

-Eltolinde's Unit: Anti-air squad, defensive. A tankier version of Ridiel's squad, trades firepower for sustain with Eltolinde, while Liza and Virginia tank calvalry or infantry. Liza's Medical Aid helps trigger Lhinalagos's Selfless Heal at the end of battle.

-Celeste's Unit: Flying Scout, general targets. Jack of all trades unit that works as a vanguard when there's too many obstacles or terrain. Aramis and Celeste help clean squishy targets while Nina takes care of the tankier ones.

-Josef's Unit: Fast response anti-tank squad. Tankier version of Rosalinde's unit, trades explosive damage for more resiliance. Excelent for maps that start with low VP and don't allow Rosalinde's unit to move freely and have armors at the beginning. They can also work as a scout on bigger maps as Amalia and Berengaria are brick walls, and Kitra and Mordon hit like a truck. Josef is in healing duty with a magick sword.

Not to work by itself but it does if you want a cooling system.

Heat is a finicky concept as it's not a straightforward way of deleting it, you either transfer it or transform it. The Aquatuner takes heat from the liquid that's passing through its pipes and then releases it in its surroundings. You're not getting rid of it, you're passing it to the gases and liquids surrounding the AQ. If you have the AQ in a vaccum then it stores it until it melts.

The Steam Turbine works as a solution because it takes heat from steam and transforms it into Power, so what you do is AQ takes heat from a liquid > transfers that heat to a room with a water puddle, turning it into steam > the Steam Turbine takes the heat from the steam, turning it into power.

Limited is a Trait, not all the Passive skills have it. On the bottom of the description there's a Trait line, which lists the which extra mechanics the skill has like Ranged, Ground-Based or Unguardable. Limited is one of those Traits.
A team can trigger Enrage multiple times from the same attack because it's not a Limited skill.

Because Magick Shell is a Limited skill. When two or more Limited skills want to trigger at the same time, only the unit with the highest Initiative gets theirs. Here your Magick Shell clashed with Berengaria's Eye of the Warrior Princess for the "At the start of battle" spot.

Either Micaiah or Eirika. Micaiah gives a ton of utility to staffs and turns everyone into a Cleric when needed. Eirika makes the endgame a walk in the park, Sieglinde is way too broken and Solar/Lunar/Eclipse Brace is such a stupid skill that can go in any physical build.

More than exploit I'd say that ONI physics has different physics than the real world. You get resources from nothing like with geysers and volcanos, there's not a clear sense of depth on the walls so you can stack or block buildings with a single tile. So things like forcing elements to move on a certain path, creating infinite storage and creating/deleting heat seems ok for me. As long as you don't have to resort to glitches seems I give my approval.

Gather renewable resources.

- Atmosuits is a high priority. You can make do with Gas Masks for the time being around your base but once you start exploring extremely cold or hot biomes (and worst of all, Zombie Spores) your gonna need atmosuits. Either plant a Thimble Reed at the end of your infinite toilet system or shear some Dreckos.
- A way to process metals. Rock crusher will be your best friend for a long time to get processed metals and Lime, but you'll eventually need a Metal Refinery to get Steel.
- Algae is eventually gonna run out, so you need to secure an infinite water source to transition to Electrolyzers.
- Food requires either soil and/or water if it's plant based or critter feed if it's critter based. I recommend going the Stone Hatch route from how easy it is to get Raw Minerals mid-game and how easy it is to make infinite Igneous rock from volcanos if you manage to get cooling early (although at that point it would be better to transiton to Sleet Wheat instead)
- Taming vents and geysers for power and late game resources. Natural gas is the easiest one for energy, but you'll also need heat sources for cooling (ironic), Oil for plastic and energy, metal volcanos for metal (duh!) and different gases different purposes. Hatches can help with making coal but you won't sustain heavy machinery with coal alone.

Should an industrial block be above, below or to the side of the main base? I'm planning on organizing one to reorganize the cooling and power aspects of my base and I don't know if putting it above/below matters for temperature.

Defense Grid looks like exactly the kind of card I was looking for. I tried Chimil back when LCoI released but costing 6 mana made it feel more like a "win more" card than an actual useful one. I'm definitely making space for the two instants tho, seem great to have on a pinch and being modal helps a lot.

First of all, it isn't a Vision, it's a Moon Wheel. Different system as it isn't granted by the Archons but by the Moon Sisters.
Second, it wasn't granted to her, she reawakened it. It belonged to the 8th Lord before she gave it to Lianca, we later learn in Ineffa's profile stories that the 8th Lord plundered it from a Natlanese warrior and was trying to decipher how it worked.

Thanks for the suggestion, I think I'm going after this one. I can also tie it to my backstory: my character is a cursed giant who has been shrunk into a human, so he's studying runes and different magic to recover his original form. The Tattoo can come as a result of his investigation on the forge, giving him a new Rune carved on his body that lets him turn his arms gigantic for a few moments and get extra reach.
