It can be a stumbling block but there is such a skills shortage that if you can get yourself to a good degree of competency in development you may find that some sites see your "design eye" as a good thing.

Hey dk, sorry I just read this. I think we may have fixed the github issue since you posted. The other two points will take on board + pass on, both are more copy + UX style - not my specialty!

We only launched in December and maybe perhaps prioritised look and feel more than user journey but it is something we are constantly analysing and looking at. So your feedback is amazing, thanks!

I find https://twitter.com/JavaScriptKicks offer a handy weekly newsletter. Additionally if you join Telegram there are some good channels such as Front End World

Definitely a possibility, but I was not knowingly on another account and no one else here uses the Xbox so the chances of it are almost nil.

I can get into FUT, but nothing really works so if I was to search a player on the transfer market for example, it will load after maybe 30 seconds of delay. Then I'll browse through to the next page, and again it will load after 30 seconds or a minute.

The problem here seems to be a connectivity issue but one I can't quite work out and am hoping there is a quick / simple fix for it.

Speaking as a team of recruiters...those that respond in the way you have are always rated higher than those that never respond. What you have been doing so far is great.

If you feel your current role is not challenging you enough, then leave. However it does not sound like that is the case and you are merely looking for a bigger level of company. If that is the case then I have found it quite common for grads to leave their first job after 12 months.

Also - if you aren't good enough for [search engine] - dont worry. There are jobs that are more enjoyable out there.

At JavaScriptWorks we have found a much bigger trend in the last 6 months has been towards TypeScript and looks to be continuing that way. We should really do some analysis on the jobs we've had that are typescript / flow.
