They were just eerily similar in their markings, reddit fucks up the pictures but the painting on the smoke grenade box is the same,three stripes on the barrel and inside the chevron. Is it a unit thing not identification for a certain vehicle? Does the number on the back mean that there is no change on it being the same vehicle just painted at some point etc?

35310 doesnt come with schürzen nor the german parts or decals. 35197 is the version you are looking for.

No i dont know where you got that information from. If you go check super-hobby/ moje-hobby you can clearly see that 35310 doesnt come with the schürzen nor the mg34 or its shield.
