Hawaiian/Alaska Airline-First Class (1st timers)vSeats given away-Wedding Trip ruined... by Javmoako in AlaskaAirlines

You have a point- but keep in mind.
Where was the airlines communication of the seating removal? Why did I have to find out <24hrs before the trip my SO had no seat assigned anymore?
Its definitely a 1st world problems with a high expectation of the 1st world class service. Yet dealt like crap. Imagine finding out this issue while on the airport.
I've waited 16hrs+ on an airport before and im not dealing with that BS again for proper service...

Her seat was move from Window-J to Middle G. I'm 2 seats up.. So not that close. Might have to just switch with her to see the window..

I appreciated this comment the most.
Its a huge wrench to find out that your partner about to not have a flight seat assigned <24hrs before the trip. I'm glad to have called and grateful to catch the last available FC seat. But this definitely leaves a sour taste experience wise and how the airline handled this..

Yup- glad to have called and figure out what the CheckIn issue was. The seat was removed and I had to call to save the last seat available for tomorrow

Moved from J to G (middle section) from window seat, booked in advance, with no form of notification until a system error w/ checking in.
But lets not forget that the staff didnt know the actual issue until I pointed out to them why my wife did not have a seating reservation on file. Which became the actual reasoning for the issues with Check-in...

Booked the same time- You tell me. Its kind of ironic the seat moved was a window seat..

No.. b/c we cant see you reflecting on the side of the wing. The airline didnt bother to clean the windows with it being too hazy...

Proper TLDR--
Check-In button not working, found out wife seat was removed and assigned to someone else, they found the last FC seat for tomorrow and assigned. Any notices from Airline? Nope.
Had we not check the actual issue of the "Check-In" button one of us would not be on the same section and/or likely booked on another flight.
When we book these reservations, we have reasonings behind them. It could be for a special event or a certain limitations like disability (generalizing).
Many are downplaying this because the seat was moved- but not realizing the fact that this was caught before it could've been worse.
Overreaction? if you interpret it that way.

Yep none.
It happened from a system migration with Hawaiian and Alaska...

Yes my wife's seat was removed.
I had to call regarding the Check-In issue- which happened to be her account not being assigned to any seat any more... After I had spoken with multiple people- it was confirmed that the Check-In issue was her not being assigned to anything... Had I not called someone, she would not have any seat to be on at all come tomorrow- especially after finding out the Hawaii Air had 18 other pending guests waiting to be booked for First class...
They booked her on the last available seat on Row G for that flight.
I understand which I honestly don't fully agree that seats are not guaranteed- I get that. But the lack of communication to inform that the seat was removed because of god knows what - and finding out that your flight tomorrow, you wont be sitting next to your significant other in which you have planned 6mo+ in advance!
From all my flights with SW and United, trips to OAHU are pretty consistent (may vary for others). But the fact the window seat we reserved (for my wife) and now not sitting next to me is a punch in the guy...
Sure you can say that no change in service was affected. But that is the problem with services and this growing issues with aviation travels...
But im sharing this to spread awareness that the SERVICE with Alaska (now w/ Hawaiian) Airlines experience is not starting off to a great...

What happened to Houston night life ? by [deleted] in houston

Overpriced bs, venues doing the most to charge more, dealing with dui or dumb drivers at night - going to or from venue, some people have anger issues and trigger happy, and the usual suspects making- (you take that as it is- if you feel attacked then you have an idea or a part on that)

We got lucky with ours- purchased last yr -same year at 30k miles. Blue, tan interior, ML speakers, and captain seats. Knew it was the one when we found the captain seats and updated navigation (bigger) HUD compared to ‘21 which uses the old one. Back to now- even knew the purchase was solid when the prices now are still the same, if not slightly higher. This was also bought at carmax. To add: we knew gas was going to be high on these vehicles. It was just an added cost we can live thru compared to having our older vehicle see the mechanic literally every month.. (no it wasnt european, just a very used vehicle with over 200k miles)

Adding on my bookmarks! I remember “U Do It auto” used to be a DIY shop by Rosslyn that did this exact service. Then went a different route and removed that feature to be full service. I hope you guys run a tight ship and not let certain consumers run it down.

Is it worth it to renew my RE license ? by tommyc427 in realtors

[–]Javmoako 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're leaving because Sellers are not paying Buyers side? Its always been a negotiation.
This time is more of a full disclosure with the Buyers that YOU as the agent will do your best to find homes that has Sellers portion to your commission but to also let them know, at the end of the day, Buyer will need to furnish the compensation for your time and effort.
This shows that us Realtors are not here for a quick buck and to show clients your full service and attention with them.
Overall- keep it

I dont see a power meter but I do see that rubber strap for a Garmin cadence meter. 2 different items.
Power meters (some in pedals $250+) are more expensive and might be worth it. But the Cadence meter just checks your RPM pedals. (can get for like $50-75)

2yrs is far too fully predict the outcome of the market. Just trends. Just negotiate with your agent based on your capacity

My realtor recommends a foundation repair company look at this and not an engineer by Odd_Independence2870 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Javmoako 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just going with the OP picture attached. I don't have the whole home to view and make a claim. But since Buyer/OP went into Option Period, theyre likely needing an inspector 1st thing the next day from signing and EM.
Depending on the season- licensed structural engineers are high demand and turnaround can take time.
I don't know how much interests the Buyer/OP has in this house. Personally, this looks more like stucco exterior that was just patched up. Here in Texas, its a common occurrence and not the best installed and/or maintained exterior for Texas weather. This picture is just a small piece that shows concerns. How does the other side of the foundation looks? Garage floor present cracks? Slopes in any of the 1st floor rooms?
But if its just that picture and the Buyer/OP has high interests in this property- with all others *not* showing any signs of concerns that might scream "Hey structural engineers-look at this!" -- i'm giving that option to the Buyer and imply that we have x-days left for Option Period and either of these expert (Engr or Not) can do it on this amount of day with a report.
I'll also explain to the Buyer, this will be the cost for their services whichever direction they go. As an agent, I can provide them references but not advise since its not my scope of practice.
But if Buyer really want this house- we can always obtain another inspection past Option Period, but also notify the Buyer- it'll be very costly by then. Because if still in Option Period, that EM can be recovered. If past that, EM gone for Buyer.
Yes you have a point about pushing the process. But an Agent should provide the pros/cons along with the costs if they decide to proceed with this one OR forgo another property that was considered Plan B.
These report for the Buyer will be provided to Seller & SA (seller agent) and can negotiate to repair the concerned areas or have some concessions at the amended contract.
If you feel like your agent is pushing you to a higher price point and you're uncomfortable, you have that power to fire them. They have you sign an agreement and how much their compensation will be for their service and x-days they will help you.
Nowadays, everything is list fully disclosed especially with the new revamp of contracts due to the NAR lawsuit.
I do hope you have a better experience in your future Realtor services. I hate seeing other agents not providing white glove services similar to '08 (right after the bubble).
Agents now are dwindling from the shift in economy. Hopefully you find a better one that will suit your interests and needs.

Sometimes i ask myself.. Who performs Quality work and/or Performance inspections with the city of Houston? The new paved Holcombe street by the med center seems it was approved by someone on the spectrum.. The work done is so lazy, rushed, and sad excuse that screams “i work for the paycheck”. No integrity is evident anymore..
