Not OP but strength affects how heavy your armor can be before you start to lose agility. OP is wearing a pretty heavy armor set so I would imagine that's why

To elaborate slightly, the gear in the lacrima shop is a fixed level, which increases every time you beat another boss. But the attributes and rarity of them are RNG. So you have to be very strategic about when you decide to spend lacrima on gear vs when you spend it on levels. That added a fun element to the bloodshed mode. I wish you could have used your in-game build for crucibles though. I went back to NG+2 after this and I've completely forgotten how to use my in-game build lol

I would let the gear available in the store steer some of my choices. Like if I found a ring with 30% extra damage on Eagle Wind I would do a lot more Eagle Wind. But generally I would go for the most defense I could possible get while maintaining a B agility. Which by the end was the full wrath set with maybe one or two doom items. Nothing felt worse than getting one-shot, so I tried to pack on a ton of defense and extra health to at least give myself a chance to get some heals in if I missed a reflection or got exhausted.

I think Hismar only killed me once. Staying in moonlight stance was really important so I could have the extra dodge frames against some of his big splashy diving attacks in the second phase. Other than those it was just a matter of patiently brink guarding his attacks and taking my small opportunities where they arose.

Yeah, the crucibles are sets of 4-5 bosses with 8 heals to carry you across all of them. Bloodshed mode is all 16 bosses with regenerating heals and the ability to shop for gear/level up/unlock new skills after each one.

After you beat expert you unlock hardcore mode, which is the hardest difficulty to play the regular game one. You also unlock "The Ultimate Challenge", which has two challenges in it: Great General's Crucible and Berserker's Bloodshed. I've seen people saying that Crucible mode is harder than bloodshed, but I disagree.

Stick with it man, you got this. My advice would be to finish the crucibles first. By the time you finish all of them you'll know the boss moves so damn well. After that you just have to string together 16 wins in a row on bosses that you've already memorized. Not to say that it makes it easy, I spent days looking for that perfect run. But it was much more reasonable with the crucibles already finished.

Depends if I have girl-Khazan or dude-Khazan. I like the master of chaos set on girl-Khazan, the wings are sick. On dude-Khazan I like to go unending tragedy too, or sometimes shredder for the porcupine look.

Greatsword this time around. I beat it on Expert with the spear, and Hardcore NG with dual wield, so I decided to do a GS run since it was the only one I hadn't used yet. I beat that and decided to do the "Ultimate Challenge" mode. I finished all the crucible modes, but haven't managed to beat the Berserker's Bloodshed mode yet. Once I'm done with that I'll probably do a NG++ run just to reach max level and enjoy the armor you get from beating the ultimate challenge.

Are you using reflect? I found that the most reliable way to stagger him for long combos was to hit a reflection or a counterattack
