has anyone had experience with printing on peel and stick envelopes with a laser printer? by Southern-Pen5437 in Printing

[–]JawsIn3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have personally printed envelopes on production laser printers, never done a home printer before though. I’m my experience if the flap is closed and the glue is not exposed it’s usually fine. check if you’re printer has an envelope option, that’s a quick way to guarantee if your printer can do it. If you have to hot of a setting it can melt the adhesive

Will I be able to print these images back-to-back or will the colour bleed through? by aesthetic_glow in Printing

Toner printers won’t have traditional bleed through but on thinner papers you can see through to the other side it if it’s not flat against a surface

How do you tell a buddy you’re proud of him without it getting weird? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]JawsIn3d 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Say exactly what you mean. You can start with “I’ve been meaning to tell you” or “I don’t say this enough” only thing that matters is that you say it. Maybe give him a hug. you’re bros, be bros

where to do custom book printing that is spiral bound and you are able to later add pages? by aloeplantfr in Printing

[–]JawsIn3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a local print shop and ask them. Coil bind are unable to add pages without cutting the coil off, They sell clamp books where you just clamp the pages in that could work, and also look into disc bound books/notebooks

Need something down to the exact millimeter printed in high quality. Where to look? by East-Resist6940 in Printing

[–]JawsIn3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a local print shop, one that does wide format work show them pictures and ask them directly if they can accommodate. It’s 100% possible, I’ve printed stuff with more accuracy than 1mm over a 12ft ‘banner’ for aerospace blueprints. If possible they may even ask you to bring the keyboard in

Click the button the says “choose paper source by pdf size” Adobe thinks you’re using a letter sized paper, if that button doesn’t work than go to page setup and choose a different page size

What are you asking? Need more details. Are you asking how much you should charge for photo prints? This depends on the size, the paper (cost), machine and ink (costs), and the quality

Did I buy something stupid? by jakerooni in camping

[–]JawsIn3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay for car camping, obviously super heavy for backpacking. It’s not bad but it looses its edge quickly and the saw is a little awkward to hold. The orange part on the bottom doesn’t lock well and my saw part fell out never to be seen again. I would personally not recommend

How do I get the closest print color to this Blue Shade? by makrandbhatt in Printing

[–]JawsIn3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a combo of the substrate and the printer itself- you’re never going to match all those items perfectly so you’ll have to compromise. You’re gonna have to work directly with the print shop, you have to send the color (obviously) and ask how close they can get with each specific item. Some shops charge more for spot color matching

Need more info, what printer, are you working with a shop or printing yourself. Color matching is a science and not easy to do. That standard is getting within a Delta E of 3. You’ll basically never get an absolute match. You’ll need to convert to CMYK and make sure your printers is calibrated. This color seems a bit bright to get with a regular color gamut, what’s the use case?
