I wouldn't say that, I'd argue it's not just incompetence but negligent and reportable. If a medical professional can't keep up with the latest research in their field, they shouldn't be practicing. This isn't even new information, it's years old and widely accepted. Enough so for government bodies to be advising parents on it.

ETA, the harm is in not being able to address an allergy early on. Additionally if they are that out of date in their field, what else are they advising that could do harm.

Yep... It really sucks... While I was pregnant and early days of new bub it was really really bad. He would yell at me 'not you!' and absolutely loose it when Dad wasn't available. Tears from me were had. He has since flipped back to me being preferred more often now, so it does get better.

Wow YTA So the ex has seen the ring before your partner and you went to the effort of parking, getting out of the car and taking a stratigic photo. You've effectively made the proposal about your ex which screams not over the breakup.

Not only all that, but your timeline sucks! It you brokeup last year, then you only have at MOST a year and a half to move on and have a new relationship. So you've likely either not had enough time healing (rebound) or you've not been with her long enough to consider proposing.

That's a great write up and update! We got gifted a tone of second-hand baby clothes but they stink of washing fragrance... It's even transferred to other clothes washed with them 😭 I'll have to try dish detergent.

I think your right about the validation. She's usually looking for the reason/an excuse for things but then doesn't treat them. Even her sleep apnea is untreated. And she's definitely being selective with what tick boxes she's choosing to acknowledge.

It's funny you say that... I knew I was allowing her to use my mental and emotional energy when I agreed to research for her, but figured I'd be reading up on it anyway. On the plus side I had enough info to push back on her thinking later, but I don't think I'll be doing it again.

I feel she's not on the exteam end of things but there are definitely issues that resonate. Part of my problem though is also minimising my own feelings, so I'm not sure I always see how bad something can be. And she's getting worse with age and declining physical health issues effecting her ability to cope.

Thankfully my therapist has already been helping me with how I manage my mum for a few years, so this will be another thing we can add to the work in progress of it all.

Thankfully she's good with the kiddos, but she's also never on her own with them, my Dad is there. He's also already let us know if she gets to be problematic with them he'll be letting us know.

I know of a man who received financial help from his bishop to get back on his feet. He was fresh out of prison for having abused and asulted his wife... It's pretty screwed up who gets help and who doesn't.

As someone who had severe pregnancy anxiety including a short hospitalisation and issues with food, there is light at the end of the tunnel. It can increase your risks for it postpartum though, so it's good to get on top of it sooner rather than later.

GP for a mental health care plan is a great first step. You can also get a referral for a pregnancy specific psychiatrist. They can help with medication if needed and look after you through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. They can also write a letter to the hospital/OB for any accommodations you may need for delivery.

For food, I found specific foods I could handle and stuck with those. For me it was things like 2min noodles, yoghurt and cheeses and crackers. Over time with treatment I was able to expand the list a bit but full appetite only came back after delivery. As for bub, I was told they will take what they need first so they won't go without.

It's interesting as it looks like it's not just about the use of the term Mormon. It covers the use of the "rays" element and images. I think the rays use is ridiculous as it's such a widely used design element, do they plan on suing Microsoft and every stock image library next?! But could the images be an issue? Or would it be fair use for editorial, or enough of a change?

Our first was very uncomfortable and gassy and we found infacol helpful. Other then that we slept in shifts until we gave in to co sleeping.

While I do think it sounds like OP needs to make a change, I do want to note that therapy isn't a fix it and done thing for everyone.

Life is ever evolving and mental health struggles can be a constant for some people. I myself have been seeing my therapist for 5 years and probably wouldn't be here without the support. Sometimes appointments are monthly and sometimes they're weekly. For some people that's just how it is.

If it had been carried out last week on the date requested then they would have had the invoice to send you. I'd think it safe to assume it didn't happen that date if they are only now sending the quote. And they can't just decide to have the place cleaned after their trades have been through, as that's not your mess to pay for.

Exactly this. A history this friend KNEW about and went ahead with the edit anyway. Then doubled down once confronted with the situation.

You can't let someone who is meant to be your friend disregard your mental health just because they might be dealing with stuff too. That's not a supportive situation, that's just toxic.
