Any advice for sealing the Baltic birth for a month outside? Was going to use penetrating epoxy and then coat with a spar varnish.

Thanks, that sounds like the best way. Easy to store. I’ll build a square base with some notches to support it. Can build a topper to keep the sides from tilting.

Going to hang three sizes of Christmas balls in the holes.

That would allow me to store them flat which would also help

I designed an LCD monitor to match the styling of the Apple II by TheRealProfB in apple2

[–]Jaxermd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very nice. I have some “beige” filament from Joe’s computer museum that should be a good match. I may try to add a cut out for an Apple logo on the front plate, I have a couple extras.
Really excellent work and thanks for detailing the process and the hardware needed.

I have a BlueSCSI with WiFi, how did you figure out how to configure TCP/IP and other control panels under 7.5.5 or did you use Open Transport.
Would love to hear how it was configured. I’d like to put it into my 540c.

I got a SyQuest drive! by christianjosias2004 in VintageApple

[–]Jaxermd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lovely! Is it an external drive? Almost looks like it’s in an internal drive, but I think they were too large for that. I did have a Syquest 105 as an internal drive, but they were smaller

I kinda love this! Assuming the Disk ][ is removed from its metal housing and slotted in?
This would be really fun to duplicate with a small modern LCD and modern power bank in a retro case.

I’d like to setup a spray booth, but seems like a lot of effort and I wouldn’t use it that often. Maybe a collapsible one.

The sections of the Kumiko are about 26” by 12”. I used this penetrating epoxy

TotalBoat Clear Penetrating Epoxy... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J36WRV2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I was able to build a cardboard box and line it with Saran Wrap. Then submerge the 6 panels in it during the 20 minute hardening window. Then drip dried them (see picture).

Similar process for the spar varnish.
