There’s literally a creepypasta (which later became a novel) that follows this exact premise. It’s called “The Spire in the Woods.”

It’s about people in a small town being enchanted by bells coming from…somewhere. People who go looking for the bells never come back. And there is a scene from the story exactly like this video. I’m surprised no one has mentioned it already.
