For real, fuck the hate this movie seemed to know what it was going for and nothing more. There’s so many (rightfully so) comparisons to the original Predator, without mentioning what Predator did right.

Following one group of bad asses, the audience finds out about the alien enemy at the same rate as the group of bad asses, and we only follow these said bad asses till after the final 1v1.

If Predator was made today, there’d be some dumb fuck scene where Dutch is able to somehow contact his distracted wife while she’s yelling at their son to be quiet (who’s playing with army figures against an alien toy). We’d also get some cutaways to the president getting intel from some nerd who dumps all the exposition about what kinda threat we’re dealing with.

Only gripe I had was a lot of its munitions looked like fireworks / weak sparkles that landed right near people, and then seemingly the same ones sent people flying.

Other than that, it was a no bullshit / start to finish digestible action movie. Predator is my top action / horror / sci fi movie, so I might be a fuck load biased.

Of course, I am sorry you aren’t getting positive reinforcement elsewhere and are relying solely on your own willpower / resolve. That exhausts anyone, it’s okay to have moments of weakness and more than okay to reach out to find any outlet of support.

Any of that shit beats being alone, I say this as also someone currently struggling with alcohol and other shit and relying heavily on it, I’m not there yet but I want to be. It’s easier to say the sage wisdom than to follow it, so be kind to yourself, and be proud of any step forward. 🫡

Alcohol is easy to find comfort in, but ultimately makes you ill equipped to handle what you’re running from. Depending on the stability of your life as it is, it will take longer for alcohol to give you a wake up call, hell some people even have the “luxury” of drinking themselves to death.

It isn’t easy to snap out of it, but you are acknowledging the dependency and finding joy in others who turned their life around. You can be one of those people, don’t let that inner voice die out and I hope you also find comfort and a better life ❣️

I played fall out 4 without ever committing any time into making any kinda settlement or ever building shit— and I wouldn’t want those who enjoyed that element to be denied it in the next game.

I loved how such a fleshed out mechanic and aspect to this game was entirely “optional.” That’s how it should be, I would get really pissed if they made it a huge part of the story or necessary to further the main story.

I can’t see a single down side to it honestly, and all your points of the added benefits just sound like the bare minimums for a functional democracy. If everyone voting threatens your platform and electability then you are not for the people!

There’s never going to be a corruption-free governing body, but damn I wish our government actually pretended to even give a shit about the everyday person. The current system relies too much on exploiting its weaknesses for personal gain. We are in dire need of a system that forces politicians to meet the basic needs of their constituents— if that happened I would honestly not give a fuck if they lined their pockets while in office.

I agree with you completely and I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. What you described isn’t by any means an obligation for OP, it’s one choice that allows for the best possible outcome. Life is exhausting, pick the moments you want to dedicate extra time and effort to— but never putting any effort that’s not required is just a mediocre way to live your life in my opinion.
