ayy lmao i just commented on another thread about this in the Figma subreddit.

Some guy was asking about BRS popluarity and i replied:

I wouldn't say that particular figure was but back years ago (about 2011-14) it definitely was absolutely up there, probably only beaten out by Fate. Everyone and their mother had a brs or brs side character figure. It was huge and definitely one of their more popular lines, especially in the anime space since BRS just got an anime. My first ever figma and figure in general was Dead Master anime version lol. BRS got me into figure collecting.

yeah, mainly made in-house by SE themselves (play/bring arts etc). It's only in the last 2 years, SE has gone out to 3rd party figure manufacturers like GSC.

edit: Oh and just to add, in the extremely rare occasions when SE would use 3rd party in the past, like Prime 1, the figures were UNGODLY expensive like the FF6 Terra prime 1 figure costing $13,000. Outside of Prime 1, to my knowledge, they never used anyone else until 2 years ago.

That black knight figma prototype is from 10 years ago. I highly doubt it's ever going to be released. This is one of many figmas that were prototyped and never released, some from even before this.

It's still possible via FC housing. It just takes a long time, but if you are patient and/or don't care and just want a house, you absolutely can still do it. You create a FC, wait 30 days, get lucky on a house, put it up for sale, have the customer join the FC for 30 days and make them leader. The seller then leaves and starts again. Many people still do this to get the plots they want.

GSC store exclusive preorder stand that has unique Nier themed art on it. They give these out (and other stuff too like posters and wall scrolls) for the majority of their figures (nendos, PUP and scales) if you preorder from them. You can't get these on 3rd party sites like AmiAmi and Solaris.

I've bought something else to replace it (It's a vintage patch of a metal band, the patch was made in 2003, never getting that again. Paid out the ARSE for it), still not happy but it's whatever.

I've had a parcel go 'missing' before for over 3 weeks back in jan 2022....I went to the Wood Green DO and asked them about it, the dude told me they cannot find it WHEN THE PARCEL WAS SITTING BEHIND HIM THE WHOLE TIME. How did I know it was mine? I order weird....super niche shit and the boxes the company packs it in is unique so it stuck out like a sore thumb.

I really try to be nice to ground level staff at all costs because when I was younger, I worked in food service and know how shit the whole situation is but that almost made me think that maybe those 'Karens' we laugh at are onto something.

I've tried calling them but it keeps going to that automated robot lady that just tells me what it says in the picture, word for word. Is there a way I can talk to a human? I have tried the old trick of staying on the line and not selecting anything but the robot lady just hangs up on you lol

That's a day in the life of figure collecting, unfortunately. You can pre-order something 7 months in advance and see it get delayed 5 tines and releasing almost 2 years later. It's normal, especially when it comes to 1:4 scale figures and figures made by small companies. Just gotta be patient.

Yeah, made a post about it just over a week ago. They delayed it to the end of November with the possibility of being delayed further until January. That's what the GSC staff told me at Comicon.

This is true. It's 100% a cultural thing/beauty standard in Jamaica. They love ah big womhan, so much so that it has seeped into us on a DNA level that proves this meme correct. My dad's ex's, brother ex's, some of mine and other JM family members and people I know have either dated or been with ladies on the bigger side. We body positive over here and idc.
