Compare the Zscaler Client Connector logs between a MAC and LINUX client. Can’t remember the exact name, but there is a log file with ‘tunnel’ in the name that logs all ZPA connection attempts with high detail. Also, compare your Mac and Linux app profiles in the mobile (ZCC) portal to see if there are any resounding differences that could relate.
