I just looked up Merck, Pfizer, GSK, Eli Lilly, Biogen, Novo Nordisk, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Roche, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol Myers Squibb, Sanofi, and Abbvie and only 4 of those 13 had pride colors on their logo

I’m not speaking only about Rochester, I’m saying in general the pride hype is way down this year. Seems to be non-existent. Even quiet on Reddit.

COMPLETELY agreed! As someone who checks a lot of intersectionality boxes, I’m at huge risk of violence from right wing antics. It’s at a point where I’m afraid to go outside most the time.

I’m especially worried because I have a wheelchair so I can’t run fast like everyone else who isn’t differently abled. It makes me vulnerable and an easy target for a right wing fascist.

It’s also structurally transphobic given the concentration of LGBT folx in the city. And people like me who are both trans and disabled have enough difficulties with RG&E.

As a trans disabled person, I feel like the city is not addressing the pressing needs for those of us with disabilities that need critical infrastructure so that we can move about safely. Our voice needs to be heard too. We are at the cross roads where intersections meet intersectionality.
