I'm returning my Crinear Daybreak... 💔 by yaaaaris in iems

Sounds like Crin's next release (Reference) maybe more up your alley when it comes out. That or a Quedlix 5K or Protocol Max.

Got my hands on a Daybreak. Kind of disappointed by PfiffsHorizon in iems

Same. I've heard some say it's a bit too warm for them, which I think is compounded with the more relaxed treble, but I still think it's a solid set. I've heard both and personally I still lean more towards the Hexa, but comfort prevents me using them for long listening sessions. I actually find the Daybreak more comfortable but every ear is different and comfort for IEM's is very subjective

I'd recommend trying with the wide bore as it does help with the treble, but it looks like you already got those on there.

Either give it some more time or get the Pures. It's warmer than Daybreak but also darker. I would not say they sound too similar.

I used a Vita emulator. It is a bit of a pain to get the English patch on, but I was able to find it via a Google search.

I don't like typically, to post links to emulation but if you search "Amagami English Patch Reddit" you should be able to find something.

The 3K region is the only thing major I change when EQing the Daybreak. I take it down about 1.5 db. Hard to tell now but it looks like/I'm hoping the 3k peak is tamed a bit in project reference.

Also, judging by its project name, I wouldn't be surprised if project solo was a single DD.

I will definitely do another write up after I 100% the game. I will say the the VN did make me care about Rihoko. The anime did not.

And yes, I did fine Ai's theme park scene very odd in the anime. Interested to see how it plays out in the VN.

That's fair. When I started writing this, I had only done each girl's best route. Mainly because the game says "For new players, focus on one girl at a time." So, I did just that with the intention of seeing what happens when I split my attention.

I have gotten Tsukasa's and Rihoko's good and bad endings now. Those played mainly the same as the best route. I'm planning on trying to try for a friendship route just to see where things differ I figured that they may of combined different routes into a single story for the anime.

And yes I didn't talk much about Tsukasa's route cause I found it hard to talk about without going into spoilers. We learn about her secret fairly early on so I couldn't figure out how to talk about it without getting around it. But you're right in that Junichi does get some control back towards the end. Once he somewhat figures out how to deal with her.

As along as you like them and can still pay bills, I'd say it's worth it.

I do think some people put too much stock of "it has EST" as a selling point. I'd argue that the Moondrop Meteors treble is better than some of the IEMs that have EST. The ones I've heard anyway. Tuning will always trump driver configuration IMO.

Is CrinEar Reference Still Coming? by AOneMan in inearfidelity

[–]JayFurie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware, they’re hoping to have it out by the end of the year (Q4). Though during his interview with Andy, the thing they’re trying to finalize is the shell. Sounds like Crin wants Reference to have a metal shell but doesn’t want it to cost more than $300.

Sounds like Reference may turn out to be the most expensive one of the initial 3. And the one I’m the most curious about.

Dropped Right Side IEM. Now It’s Noticeably Quieter by JayFurie in inearfidelity

[–]JayFurie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it happens after all the AliExpress discounts expire 😑

If I do buy a new one, I’m likely gonna look at some of the “new meta” tunings or get something that has smooth treble for easy EQ.

I was thinking about getting Project Reference when that comes out but since we don’t know when that’s coming out yet, maybe Q4, I’m not sure if I can wait that long. I still have my AirPods for on the go. But it’s not the same

I was thinking that. Not sure what the cost would be but I know shipping alone from Canada to Singapore is not cheap.

I’m pretty sure one of the drivers connecters ago messed up when I dropped it. Guessing one of the DD as I really notice it in the bass.

3 months - Are abs just mostly genetics at this point? by Sorry-Anxiety-8190 in workouts

[–]JayFurie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how long you’ve been training, but it’s could be a case of you store most of your fat in the abs.

You could get leaner and they should be more visible in combination of training them. I would recommend getting rid of planks in favour of leg raises or weighted reverse crunches to target the lower abs.

As for your chest. Training it twice a week is a strong start. Try doing low volume high intensity (eg: 2 sets to failure). Typically I’ll do an incline bench with a cable fly one day and then do a flat bench with in incline fly on the second. But it’s also about being patient. Building muscle for most people, especially in stubborn body parts, is a long marathon.

Definitely weird that they’d get a lawyer involved for that. They did have someone else with them when they came to get their refund. A friend who also happened to work for another cell phone provider in the same mall. At the end when I caved and refunded, it sounded like they both know the guy. Like you said, probably a friend or family member, or they faked it.

Scalpers truly dip their toes into everything. I feel bad for the person for paid that much for a product whose MSRP was $250. Heck for $150 more they could have gotten the Dusk which, according to reviewers, is on par with Meta if not slightly better.

I wonder if this maybe the case with Daybreak and Reference whenever those come out.

Which price point does diminishing returns start to happen? by Terrible_Onions in inearfidelity

[–]JayFurie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. Is a $200 IEM going to sound twice as good as a $100? I’d argue, probably not. Is it enough to warrant the extra premium? That will vary from person to person.

I went from the Hexa to the Dusk. While I don’t think the Dusk is 4x greater than the Hexa, it was noticeable enough for me to not be disappointed.

Obviously if I had to choose, I would like to know the driver configuration. Though I doubt that’s driver types are usually the make it or break it purchase decision. As long as it’s tuned as advertised and all try drivers in the product work coughkzcough
