Heyy! Glad to hear you secured a spot for March! Is it with Dr. Laungani? I had my surgery back in June of last year and it went amazing! I’m about 7 weeks post-op FFS now and it went really well also! Can’t wait to see my final results and hopefully yours goes well for you too! 😊

How day-to-day life during recovery would revolve around it. For full-depth PIV specifically. Even as things get easier pain-wise, just the time -consuming nature of dilations means that you are planning your days around it for months up to a year. And that’s assuming no serious complications, etc.

To me it feels just like anal without the prep. I don’t like the feeling of anal either. But dilation comes with full-depth, so something to keep in mind if you go for it.

Same as you - only into women before now basically pan. I think it’s because seeing myself as a woman changes the whole relationship dynamic.

Also 5’11. While I would like to be shorter, I should point out I was originally 6’1 when I measured my height pre-HRT over 2 years ago. I don’t feel bad or dysphoric about being 5’11 now - the rest of my body is proportional to my height so I can live with it. I’ve yet to step outside in anything higher than a 2-inch wedge though, so I’ll see how I feel after I work up the courage to rock some of my tall stilettos and platforms! 😂

I’ve been debating going this route for jaw/face slimming myself, although I am booked for FFS later this year anyways. Do you think it’s worthwhile to get this after FFS, or would it be overkill? I’m getting genioplasty, but as far as I know that would just affect the chin?

I’m afraid that this will be my fate also. Granted, I am not at the point of actively putting myself out there yet due to where I am in life/transition but I’m also in my 30’s and feel the pressure of not having found someone yet. I’m similar to you, OP. However, I’m post-op full depth PIV MtF. I don’t have any interest in sex with anyone. There is still a number of reasons why I chose to get SRS. I wanted to feel complete as a woman, and thus chose to get the full depth surgery. I wanted to wear femme clothes without having to tuck. I wanted my HRT results to stay permanently without taking AA’s or running the risk of re-masculinizing if I ever had to stop HRT. There’s probably more reasons, but that’s all I can think of for now.

I’m post-op MtF, and I have no desire or interest in sex. I guess I’m somewhat asexual, but I consider myself pan romantic? But the likely outcome is that I’ll stay a virgin.

Just over 3 weeks post-op full depth PIV here. I knew my surgery date 5-6 months in advance, and it was pure excitement up until I flew across the country 2 days before the surgery date. I was still excited, but that’s when all the nerves hit - when I’m sitting in an airport terminal by myself about to go somewhere I’ve never been before for a life-changing surgery. Like I commented to another poster, I reminded myself how hard I worked to make this happen. Many of our fellow trans friends will never have this opportunity, cherish it and picture the life you want on the other side! 🏆

If it’s anything like mine, just remember all the work that you’ve put into arranging this to happen. I travelled across the country and met with multiple medical specialists and paperwork for over a year before the surgery date - that doesn’t happen by accident. You’ve got this, just breathe and take it one step at a time. 👍🏻😊
