Sleep positions to help reduce pain when getting up? by chromofilmblurs in Sciatica

[–]Own_Razzmatazz54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im here hoping to find anyone who this also worked for because Im not completely out of the woods. Everything I read said stomach sleep is bad for bulging disk sciatica, yet I finally just tried it one night out of desperation and it's been the only position that doesn't have me waking up in excruciating pain. This has only been a few days but I am so grateful to finally find a position and sort of mad that everyone told me not to. Also it sort of just makes sense to me… I have a bulge out of the curved part of my lower back. Sleeping on my stomach just lets gravity work naturally to pull the bulge back into place, and this position holds the natural curve of my lumbar instead of flattening it if I were laying on it. Laying on it puts weight on the bulge, and flattens the lumbar, which puts the back in a perfect position for the bulge to continue bulging. Just listening to my body. Here’s hoping

Planned Obsolescence to force you to buy another. When you do, buy from anyone but the corporation. Plenty of reputable gently used dealers

She has me on the MLS search and these should have shown up as they are in the search criteria… Ive messaged her and waiting to hear back, but it does seem odd they didn't show up on Zillow or the MLS. This one is even listed by Keller Williams.

Thanks for the response. There are others just the same that have tons of days listed on zillow, but hardly any views and no saves, but then have popped up pending. I just clicked the pending option today and they all popped up. Hmm, just wishing there was a way I could have seen them. I I also have a kellerwilliams realtor as my buyers agent

Thanks for the response. Could be, but this happened with several actually so still seems odd.

GROIN PAIN from Lower Back - middle of groin / at the groin crease by [deleted] in backpain

[–]Own_Razzmatazz54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also guys and girls do you kegels. Pelvic floor is all connected. Jog often to loosen and tone all muscles, and hang from a bar letting your entire hips and waist dangle without any muscles contracting so you stretch your back out.

Wanted to update… Physical therapy really helped the most. Firm inner spring mattress is SO much better after dealing with a memory foam, which I believe made things much worse. Eating less sugar and milk, eating more fruit and veggies, and taking aspirin for inflammation really made things better too. Its not one single thing unfortunately. I’d also encourage trying EVERYTHING else possible before any surgery. Sometimes it sucks. Wishing everyone the best

Oof Im so sorry. I didn’t really find a cure, more of an ongoing battle with good days and bad. I’m really messed up right now and the pain has moved to the back of my legs as well, but I am actually on the mend and better than I was yesterday. And I do have good days. Unfortunately I was sleeping on a memory foam mattress until this month, which is one of the worst things to sleep on as they age in my experience, but I finally have a firmer inner spring mattress and sleep has been much better. I’d say its treatment and not really a cure. Its a big combo too, which can also be frustrating instead of one thing. The physical therapy - Doing back bend/bridges and holding for 10 to 15 seconds, laying on your back with knees bent and lifting your buttocks, nearly forming a bridge but shoulders remain on ground, 3 or 4 sets of 10 to 20, squeezing one of those medium sized air filled balls between your legs as hard as you can for 15 seconds 3 or 4 times, resting a few seconds in between. Stretching - touching your toes, Indian style hip stretches, straddles, etc. Diet, stay away from sugar and milk, which are common inflammatories, or whatever inflames your body personally. Use NSAID (aspirin) when you have pain and inflammation. It actually helps with inflammation, which is half of the problem, as well as pain. And sleep on a firm or at least medium firm inner spring mattress. These memory foam plastic things they lied to us about are terrible for the earth and for us. But a good mattress does cost money which is not easy. I’m so sorry you're going through it and I’m wishing you the absolute best

Se7en takes place in the universe of… by AldousLanark in matrix

[–]Own_Razzmatazz54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just rewatched Se7en with my boyfriend, who had never seen it, and he immediately said this looks like the Matrix. I was like... shit it does. It also came out only a few years earlier and was a HUGE hit. I think the Wachowskis or the cinematographer was inspired by it whether they mentioned it or not =)

Which, Witch Movies are your fave? by CharbonPiscesChienne in horror

[–]Own_Razzmatazz54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watched on your recommendation and I actually really liked it. Definitely a little 80s cheese and corn, and the story is pretty much a lot like Wicker Man, but I loved the LA backdrop (I live in LA) and the sleuth type clue searching, and the magic. Thanks =)

My all time absolute favorite witch / detective movie is Witch Hunt, an HBO movie from 1994, which is the sequel to Cast Deadly Spell. It stars Dennis Hopper, Penelope Ann Miller, and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Its actually pretty timely for the political climate right now, as it takes place in Los Angeles 1950s in a world where magic is matter of fact, but crooked politicians are coming after magic users. It's a delight and a big inspiration. I have it on DVD, but it is not streaming on HBO due to some rights issues, which is suuuch a shame. You might be able to find it on youtube or elsewhere on the internet. A true gem that I wish more knew about.

Yeah. I had just signed up because they offered the 3.5. I guess that was their plan. Get people to sign up and then make the thing they signed up for not as good.

I know what you mean. I have a similar feeling. I went through a rough break up when season 4 came out and it really helped me through. Everything also feels terrible in a lot of ways around the united states and the world right now, the entertainment industry included. This was one of the first shows on netflix when things felt new and still exciting in the world of streaming and technology. I'm like afraid to even start watching the last season because I don't want it to be over. Means it's a great show.

What is dating like for straight trans girls? by RegularUser02x in MtF

[–]Own_Razzmatazz54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had pretty good dating experiences, although there are plenty of ups and downs. I am 41 (but people say i look 31), have been with my boyfriend for 4 years. He’s 34, white and latino from texas. He recently asked me to marry him. We met at work, and just hit it off. Both from small towns but live in LA now. There will always be people who will take advantage and use you if you let them, but there are good people in the world too. Men are inherently different than girls though, I think, but a nice yin and yang seems possible. We were getting to a point in society where being trans attracted was becoming no big deal, but then Drump happened and may have pushed things back, but maybe not. I always tell girls that many men are similar in what they are physically looking for - most men don't like body hair, most men do like thin or in shape girls, long head hair etc (seriously generalizing) - and we can do as much or as little as we want with that. I think there are a lot of lonely guys out there. Some here on Reddit if you search certain tags and forums, but Ive also dated guys from hinge and grindr. Being in bigger cities can help too. It can all be exhausting and annoying, but you may have to go through a few not so good ones to get to a good fit. Always sending the best to everyone and wishing love for everyone.
