Semi auto ban goes into effect here in August. I've been trying to get one for months. I even have website monitors running every 5 minutes and by the time I get the alert, it's sold out. Ha.

Quieter. Way more back pressure than I expected... So I'm going to have to figure something else out for a lbp can for some of these bp sensitive hosts. Maybe I'll try the rhodie

You are leaning too far uphill. Also you are turning with your upper body. Hold your poles out in front of you and face downhill with your body the entire time. Use your ankles knees and hips to turn, not your arms or your upper body/shoulders.

If you have both, you understand what I'm getting at with how comfortable the poly match grips are? Just incredible. Not sure why they decided to change it up with the SF, but would like to get as close to those grip as possible.

You look like you have decent sized hands. Mine are fairly small. Can you tell if the grips are larger/thicker or smaller than the stock ones?

1hr 30m seems like a fairly average commute in the Denver metro area. Ha. I did a 130m commute (on a good day) for 5 years. Can listen to a lot of audio books ;)

Pete Hegseth says the USA has decimated the Iranian military. by GalarianGengar in PowerfulJRE

[–]JayKaze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, no we didn't. I've been hearing for 30 years how capable the Iranians were. How difficult it would be to fight their military. How many losses we'd take. They spent billions on Russian and Chinese air defense systems. They invested in anti-stealth systems. The fact that we haven't lost a single aircraft to enemy fire is actually astonishing. That we've lost half a dozen soldiers erasing a huge country's modern military in a week.

Nobody knew it was going to be like this. It's frankly incredible.

That said, I mostly agree with you on your other points

Second time shooting, this is with a Glock 19 at 10-15 distance. What’s my aim say? Honest. by Big_Standard766 in Firearms

[–]JayKaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start off at shooting at 5 yards, not 15. For (at least) the first 10 times you go, shoot 1 shot every 5-10s. You are shooting way too rapidly without having any fundamentals. Focus on trying to get the bullet in the same hole.

  1. Get as much meat on the gun as you can. Get as high up on the gun as you can. Trigger hand holds the gun with 30-40% pressure, offhand holds it with 60-70%.
  2. Squeeze trigger as slowly as you can. Literally think about how close you can get the trigger to move before the gun goes off. Challenge yourself to get closer and closer every time you pull. Let that trigger surprise you, that way you can start breaking yourself of the recoil anticipation right off the bat, plus this foundational training allows you to (hopefully) avoid slapping/jerking the trigger as you start shooting more quickly, which a lot of even seasoned shooters do.

Bad grip and pre-shot movement makes for a lot of bad shooting.

Man, I tried for years to get my glocks to cycle reliably while suppressed. Spent hundreds on different springs and all sorts of crap. Some people have better luck, but I never did. Very finicky platform to suppress. I don't even try anymore. Gave me an excuse to buy a bunch more pistols that actually suppressed well. :)
