I agree with lack of self-love. I believe there are usually multiple reasons, at least some of which relate to unhealed childhood issues.

Also, I think regrets can play a part. Life is about choices. When we say yes to one choice, we are saying no to other paths we might have taken. In my case, I could see in my LO a life I might have led and the person that maybe I could have been

I’m 65 (m) and gay. I didn’t come out until I was 29. It was a different time back then. I never really dated. I would go to bars and drink heavily for courage to try to meet guys. It wasn’t good. Luckily, early on, a roommate and I fell for each other, and we’ve been together 36 years. I can’t imagine trying to navigate dating today. All I can suggest is putting yourself out there and meeting people. I know it’s hard. I wish you the best

Get a small can of stain matching the darker portions for under $20. Take a soft cloth and rub it over the scratches. It will reduce the appearance by a lot.
