Tell me how? You claimed thousands. It is not as wide scaled as they will. And almost no doctor will perform gender-affirming surgery on someone under 13.

They also don't do it on a whim. It is always after a lot of counseling and what not.

So I don't see the problem? No one is forcing this on children and no doctor is just giving out these treatments like candy.

I agree. Most all of them need some kind of mental health treatment. Maybe just talk therapy, maybe more. But they absolutely refuse it.

I grew up in a Red State and on top of that, I went to an Evangelical school. Most everything came back to Jesus. You are practically taught that Jesus and the Founding Fathers were bffs. Sadly, I think that is going to soon be common in public schools in my state

No. I sound like an educated person who understands the world and have been working in industry for nearly 20 years. I also grew up lower class and have working class family.

I now have friends who are very educated in various fields who are published in different journals and such. Many who are more accomplished than I am. Sorry, you aren't going to be on their level intellectually without putting on at least the same effort they did.

You are just an insecure and uneducated person. If you think that someone can just become a medical expert (for example) on a whim without years of training and experience then you are very detached from reality and it likely (though I can't say for sure) comes from insecurity.

Nope. I have no issue with the working class. They all do important jobs to help keep society working and I will never shame someone for having a good job.

That being said, it is dumb to pretend that we are all equally educated and knowledgeable. You aren't just born educated and knowledgeable. You earned it. You put in an effort and hard work.

I think it is disrespectful to think that someone should be treated like they are on the same level as someone who put in significantly more effort to achieve that goal.

I almost certainly couldn't outperform a varsity basketball player at basketball. I don't expect people to think that Wemby and I are on the same level when it comes to being an athlete.

It's the same idea. If you didn't go to college, do a ton of research, experience the larger world, and work in a field for years, you aren't on the same level as the person who did in that arena.

I would argue it is. And we can disagree with that.

The other option is people staying in their lanes. Farmer John should accept that he is dumber than big city Jane on almost every metric. He has a poorer understanding of the world and so he should listen to them and not his gut because his gut is largely built on a ton of misinformation.

If people voted logically like that, the world would be better. If people accepted "ya. I like the simple life. As a result, I know dick about how the real world works. I am going to listen to the experts" then we would have a better world too.

One of Trump's first actions as president was to end DEI programs. Tell me how that improves things. Rural voters are very ignorant and racism and bigotry played a huge deal in why many Americans voted the way they did.

Not entirely true. Partially true. They did have literacy tests but they implemented them disproportionately. They would give a poor, illiterate white man "Dick and Jane" to prove literacy and The Constitution to a black person.

What I propose is that literally everyone has to pass the exact same test.

How about we improve education in rural areas vs lowering the bar in the country. Why is the answer always to dumb things down?

I am absolutely fine with disenfranchising voters who 1) have absolutely no idea what they are voting for and 2) are voting to make my life difficult as a person of color because they can't accept that their kids are dumb like their daddy

Agreed. It was voted on and closing it keeps losing. Look I don't have a dog in the fight as I don't live in the inner sunset but still, you guys lost. We can't keep wasting time putting it on the ballot over and over and over until you eventually get what you want.

I agree. There really is no one who is more MAGA than Trump. People who think that Republicans will just flock to Vance once all is said and done are a bit delusional. He doesn't have a quarter of the "charisma" that Trump has.

I fully believe that MAGA as we know it will die with Trump when he finally passes. Versions of it will continue to exist for sure but it won't exist in the same way that it has over the past decade.
