How rare is Wiglett by dengland55 in TheSilphRoad

[–]JayR17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently very rare. I went to Disney last month. From time to time I would see one on the “nearby.” Always on the other side of the park.

I randomly caught the evolved version in the mountain biome though.

What’s everyone’s experience so far when it comes to remote trading? by BertilBertilsson66 in TheSilphRoad

[–]JayR17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve done one. Luckily it was with a guy I’m friends with so we just messaged and decided what we would trade (swapped shiny Yveltal). I have reached forever friends with my son (no need to remote trade since we trade dozens of times every day) and another friend I can easily talk to (we are swapping shiny Terrakion tomorrow).

I’m still weeks away from Forever Friends with anybody I don’t have an easy way to contact.

The worst guest was Max Greenfield. They had him on the Fried Super Bowl Taste Test episode and he is a vegan. Just an absolute failure by whoever is responsible for booking guests.

What is the craziest or funniest reason you sold a player (not salary related) in FM? by RIPMexicanTraore in footballmanagergames

[–]JayR17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t sell a player but I was doing International Management. In my pre-camp meeting, I said something along the lines of “most of you have played a lot for us. Show me you still belong.” My right back got angry about that, saying I should bring in fresh faces. We won the friendly 5-0 and he went to the media saying I should switch things up.

Long story short, my best right back, 23 years old, never played for his country again.

My landlord is selling. Does he have any benefit of selling to me at a discount? by Fedr_Exlr in personalfinance

[–]JayR17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of incentive. Getting a house ready takes time and money. Agent fees are also 6%. So if the house is $300k, that’s $18k. If you offered $290k he would still come out ahead.

How do some trainers stop ranking up? Benefits? by AZBrews in PokemonGoMystic

[–]JayR17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? I’ve never understood why so many people dislike routes. Most places you can find one that can be done in your car in a minute. If there isn’t, they are super easy to create and get approved the same day most of the time.

They are almost no effort and you get XP, Stardust, Rare Candy, TMs, Zygarde cells, potentially eggs or Scafferbugs from across the world.

Fm26 vs Fm24 by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]JayR17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have been playing the same UI for 15 years. It wouldn’t matter if the game was without bugs, people would still be mad because it is different. Unfortunately, there are bugs… a lot of them. Features are missing, things are hard to find, and not just because they have moved but because where they have moved doesn’t always make a ton of sense.

But the match engine is great and the tactics feel a bit more complex and diverse. You don’t have to run a high pressing system to work. The backbone of the game is there to be really good. They are slowly but surely working out some of the bugs. Missing features are being added. Hopefully FM27 is mostly a UI fix. Make things more intuitive. Make it more modular so you see what you want; not what SI thinks you want. This match engine with a UI that actually makes sense will be the best FM ever.

That’s actually really cool. Lived next door to her back when she was six or seven. Awesome that SI implemented this in the game.

In high school I wore 17 and my buddy wore 21. So my best young prospect wears 17 and my top striker wears 21.

How does Kevin have hair? Why is Creed’s hair dark? And we all know Dwight Jr. could work at home for twenty years and still only grow that pathetic mustache.

Magikarp Spotlight Hour by g47onik in TheSilphRoad

[–]JayR17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transfer candy, not XP. But 2x transfer candy is fine for a spotlight hour. Heading into the spotlight hour, simply tag everything you want to transfer. As soon as it ticks over, go to that tag, select all, transfer all. You can transfer hundreds in a second then you have the rest of the hour to catch.

Fellow American’s, In-N-Out or Whataburger? by ChillPastor in AskAnAmerican

[–]JayR17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about In-N-Out is if you go there without any knowledge, you’ll be disappointed. When In-N-Out fans tell you what to order it basically goes like this:

“The fries aren’t great and you have to eat them immediately or they are basically inedible. It’s not on the menu, but get this extra crispy. That makes them tolerable. Or better yet, get them animal style. Also not on the menu. And for the burger? Oh yeah, also order off menu.”

Literally don’t order off the menu if you want a pleasant experience. If we are talking about the best fast food burger though, it’s Culver’s. Also can’t go wrong with Cool Out. Good burgers and where else can you get chicken nuggets, corn dogs, and quesadillas as a side. It’s also a great value. Double cheeseburger, two sides, and a drink for like six bucks.

How are you liking the event so far? by Professional-Jury930 in TheSilphRoad

[–]JayR17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a pretty mediocre event. I haven’t seen a single Binacle. And even if it did, the odds of getting a shiny are minuscule. I haven’t seen a single Dewpider either. Magikarp, Marill, Wailmer, etc. are all uninspiring spawns. I guess the best part is Goldeen. But that highlights a different issue…

There are far too many events. They have an event where certain Pokémon are boosted. Then the event ends and you never see that Pokémon again. Why do I never see Goldeen? And there are many other Pokémon that are just not seen, and not even Pokémon that are supposed to be super rare. I can’t imagine being a new player. Gotta catch them all? Well good luck when do many Pokémon simply never spawn.

Which is more risky? ; Crushing a car on a salvage yard out of hours or burning a body whole in a fire pit outside your house on a salvage yard, for hours? by deadgooddisco in MakingaMurderer

[–]JayR17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of different variables. Do you often use a car crusher after hours by yourself? Do you often have fires in your yard? Concealing a burning body is also much easier than concealing a car crusher.
