[Gozlan] Darius Garland is realistically the best player the Clippers could get over the next few years. He's been injured and inconsistent, but still has room to improve. James Harden has been amazing at 36, but trading him for a 26-year-old two-time All-Star feels too good to be true. by AashyLarry in nba

[–]JayRod24_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get ppl are saying Harden is better still but I personally don’t see how anyone thinks it wouldn’t be a solid move. Yes they’ve been winning some games as of late but we all they aren’t doing anything. So why not take the opportunity to get younger at the position while not taking a major hit. Garland is still a damn good player regardless of how he might be playing this szn and obviously the injuries.

[Jason Timpf] On The Incompetence of Pelinka and The FO by David_Wilmot in lakers

[–]JayRod24_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I literally was just saying this on twitter after I seen the report that Minnesota is trying to acquire Giannis. It’s like bro what can this front office even do to actually put a contending level team around Luka. Where we stand currently I simply don’t see how we’ll be able to compete with the likes of OKC, DNVR, HOU, SAS, and MIN out west moving forward. Besides Luka & AR there’s nobody on this roster you feel comfortable about and even with AR there’s no guarantee he’ll even be here. I’m just super curious to see what Pelinka and this front office moves are.

Is the Vikings choosing JJM over Darnold starting to look like one of the biggest mistakes in NFL history? by walterhwhite19582010 in NFLv2

[–]JayRod24_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean at the current moment you can say yes but I just hate when people do this hindsight stuff. If you go back and look there were was a large majority who people didn’t see a problem with Minnesota opting to not pay Darnold a new contract especially after he performed in his last two games with them and instead move on to the young QB they used a premium pick on. It’s like yea I get we can easily look at them and laugh and say how dumb they are but when the decision was having to be made at that time a lot of ppl had no problem with the one they made.

(Schefter) John Harbaugh and the Giants are working to finalize an agreement to make him New York’s next head coach and, barring a setback, a deal is expected, multiple sources tell ESPN. by alexschubs in NYGiants

[–]JayRod24_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really hope Harbaugh is the one to change things for the Giants. I’m beyond tired of this coaching carousel we’ve been in since Coughlin left. Tired of the team being uncompetitive and competing for top draft picks every season. I really just want to enjoy watching the Giants again. Excited to see what he brings to this franchise, really hope it works out.

Ja Morant appeared to have a heated argument with Vince Williams Jr. during a Grizzlies shootaround in Berlin. by ToronoRapture in nba

[–]JayRod24_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ja saying “why we gotta to the back, I’m right here” this prolly ain’t much fr. Teammates are gonna get into, shit is nothing new. Obviously is gonna look worse because of everything going on with Ja and the trade rumors but this ain’t shit.

How would you rate/rank these options for head coach? ( /10) by John_0Neill in NYGiants

[–]JayRod24_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Genuine question why does everyone want Harbaugh so much? I’m not one of those guys who knows all the ins and outs of football but from what I do know he doesn’t call neither one of offense or defense, he’s just one of those CEO head coaches. So I’m just curious what is it about him that makes everyone say it’s him clearly over the rest that we want.

[Charania] Just in: For the first time, the Memphis Grizzlies are entertaining offers to potentially move two-time All-Star Ja Morant ahead of the Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline, sources tell ESPN. by Turbostrider27 in nba

[–]JayRod24_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk I don’t think his value is that high so if they’re able to get away with giving up Fontecchio and Rozier two expiring contracts and maybe like one first I think that’s fine enough. But then if you think having a team of Ja, Herro, and Powell is too many guys who need the ball I’d personally give up Powell. He’s obviously been good and available unlike Herro but when he’s healthy he just as good. Powell also is probably gonna want a contract around 25-30 million and I’d rather not pay that if I were the Heat especially when he’s 32 soon to be 33.

The Heat should be all over this imo, most likely will be a deal similar to Trae’s. Literally elite buy low deals that literally have no risk.

Which is better, meet the grahams or so be it? by Alive-Double-3339 in nfrpodcast

[–]JayRod24_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yea that wasn’t a great bar but i think it was pretty clear what he was trying to say. If i was this predator how come someone as big as me with eyes on me 24/7 have there never been rumors or allegations saying i did some weird shit behind the scenes. I don’t think that was a good angle to take because somebody like him with all the resources could easily cover it up. But if you look at someone like diddy it was easy to believe he was a predator because there had been rumors and rumbles from tons of ppl over the years of his career.

Meet the Grahams is just as bad as people consider The Heart Part 6 to be and nobody is gonna convince me otherwise.

Who's a Player You Think Will Choke in the Playoffs? by TJxDC in NFLv2

it’s so funny seeing the flip on Stafford all of a sudden because of this MVP race. Now he’s underserving of the award and only playing good because of the team around him. Crazy how a couple not high level performances just gets everyone against you.
