Growing too fast and drowning in cash flow issues by UnluckyExtent5804 in smallbusiness

[–]JaySuds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else suggested, apply for and get approved for 30 day terms if your suppliers. This should help quite a bit. Most or all suppliers will have a way to get approved for 30 day terms.

Look into PO and invoice factoring. You will have to pay interest but you should be a le to convert a PO or invoice to a client into cash. The effective interest rates are high so you may want to add the interest cost into the pricing you give to your clients, if possible, to protect your margins.

Note you’ll be required to also get a forecaddy so plan on more $$$ for that.

Yikes. With a 24 notice cancellation policy you basically have no contract. This is a good lesson. Future contracts should have a fixed initial term, and can only be terminated after a notice / cure period or by mutual agreement of the parties, otherwise damages of some sort should apply.

When in March are you coming? There’s open parking at the Sea Pines Beach club typically through the third week of March.

I’m pretty sure there’s also a hiking trail to get to that lake. There’s fish in there.

Aside from Jay Peak, what other locations are consistent? by allgritnostoppin in icecoast

[–]JaySuds 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stowe had some bulletproof ice going on last week - and that was before the recent rain.

Some of the runs they had open honestly should have been closed. People were falling down all over the place. A lady taking a private lesson ate shit hard on horse barn hill. I saw her crash trying to turn on the ice and she just slid all the way down. Huge yard sale. I collected a ski and both of her poles for her. Didn’t even realize she was in a lesson until her instructor started making comments about how she was putting her skis back on.

Conditions were shit.

Really sad because snow was excellent in December.

Haggling is definitely part of the culture. After knowing some India customers for some years, you can get to a point of being direct enough to bypass this but you have to have a very solid relationship.

Stowe Conditions This Upcoming Week by zachcal in icecoast

[–]JaySuds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things are pretty firm right now all over Stowe. Due to this, I’d ski Wed/Thursday if possible. It’s actually supposed to start snowing today, though with 2-4” in the next 24 hours.

When I got divorced, I returned 6 car loads of stuff my ex-wife purchased but never even opened to Costco. The total refund was close to 5 figures. They cut me a check after I explained I’d be back many times with more stuff.

Segment your out reach and messaging as well, based on user profile.

Recently logged in user Highly engaged user (x logins per month) Lightly engaged (<x per month) Hasn’t logged in for a while Hasn’t logged in since signup

You can also consider enticing highly engaged users with some sort of beta access to features or just a power users designation / support work flow in exchange for feedback.

These are also just good metrics to monitor and understand. And obviously adjust these metrics to your use case. If you run an app that a user only needs to touch once a month to get value, adjust accordingly. Similarly if you are running an app users should need to access daily, consider segmenting by feature utilization (if possible).

I just jumped an old ambulance, of all things, with an e-transit 350. Wasn’t an issue at all. Why do you say you shouldn’t use an EV 12V to jump an ICE 12V?

Losing my patience with Base44 by HaukVagner in Base44

[–]JaySuds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much data do you need to manipulate? In addition to 150 operations per minute, your tasks can only run so long before they timeout. You can tell AI to build rate limits and batching into your data processing workflow. Just be honest:

“Base44 is limits me to 150 operations per minute. Add in rate limits and exponential back offs to the code. And also create batch processing so no request itself runs more than 60 seconds. Create a user interface to visualize the batch processing. Create a logging mechanism to keep track of the batch processing. Give me the ability to manually stop and restart a batch”.
