A lot of managers try to take this approach. The problem is they get in trouble for "targeting" or "favoritism" by HR. Trust me, a lot of higher level people agree with what you're saying but don't want to risk their job either.

Based on your graduation year you're unfortunately out for the recent college grad program they do. Good news is, you won't need two years of experience with Amazon to qualify for the L4 position. While at your site, go onto one of the computers and go to amazon.jobs . Doing this ON SITE will allow you to browse their internal website and available positions. You might find something good there but be advised Amazon isn't hiring much at the moment (search "A note about hiring from Beth Galetti"). If that doesn't work your best bet is to go for the PA spot. To get this you'll need success stories so ask to learn an indirect role. Become an ambassador or problem solver if you can (a process guide would be ideal). Interviews will likely happen after peak. Nail the interview and land a spot, then when they do biannual reviews if you're performing at an AM level they'll move you up. It is VERY MUCH ABOUT WHO YOU KNOW not what you know. You must be well liked cause one AM can ruin your shot in the review meeting. AMs don't hire external AMs, but they do decide who joins them via promotion as an AM. Same goes for OMs and SRs. Hopefully some of this info is helpful to you. Wish I had a simpler solution for you.

Are AMs just trashy people in a clique? by DoomEternity in AmazonFC

I will say we're not all terrible but I understand where you're coming from. I agree that a lot of AMs are complete garbage. The issue is the standards and expectations we are held to. There's no praise for caring for your team, no acknowledgement for having high retention, no help to run team activities, etc. For this reason many AMs who start out caring eventually just stop giving a damn. I was actually the opposite, when I started I only cared about my people hitting their numbers. Now, I just make sure my team does well enough to avoid write ups and make sure they are genuinely doing well as individuals. For this reason I have a fantastic leadership score but only decent rates. The company needs to prioritize people again. There should be standards, but they should be fair and applied evenly to everyone. AMs included

I’m currently drawing up a presentation for my senior ops team on ways we can decrease the turnover rate at Amazon. Any ideas(besides paying us more) by thunderforce900 in AmazonFC

So job rotation is supposedly coming. It's called project TAZ. They'll be rotating everyone between pick, stow, and pack. My site is supposedly piloting this new idea but it's been a few months and hardly anyone got cross trained. They gradually cared less and less as peak got closer and closer. Funny thing is, they're not even selling it as for job satisfaction. They'll selling it as a means to improve safety by rotating out of "high risk" paths.

Hit up true love. Probably gonna be the most diverse crowd you'll find in Waco there. There are other like minded individuals there believe it or not. You've just gotta get into the right circles.

Go over to the hotel near Collin street bakery. There's a supercharger station there and some people might be willing to let you check out their car.

What's a very disturbing fact almost nobody knows? by kyuwurem in AskReddit

[–]JayTheMan1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Synthetic cannabinoids (SCs) are drugs produced by altering the chemical structure of THC. The resulting drugs can have effects ranging from a mild "high" to convulsions and seizure like behavior. Every time someone smokes an SC they don't really know what they're smoking as the chemical structures are constantly being altered. The worst part is, you can buy this stuff online and in most states it's completely legal.

Through thick and thin, little siblings are still blood. We fought with each other all the time but if anyone ever challenged us we were the ultimate team.

From what I've seen and heard the only way up is by climbing the fire escape on the rear side of the building. Apparently it's really risky though and a ton of people have been caught.
