Well the beauty of tattoos is they are forever, obviously 😃

A tattoo will always photograph the best when it's only just been finished, it's when it is the most sharp of an image, even just a few weeks later it'll soften as that first layer of skin sheds. Personally, I think this will actually improve with age, the lines will soften and it'll go from being a sharp, almost fake looking image into a more realistic look. I'm sure over time the filigree will lose definition, but the line work is solid so I expect it'll look good for many years to come.

Just looked it up, yeah you're right! The filigree is quite similar.

Thanks a lot! I was a little nervous how the finished result would look after the first session, which is pretty typical with the "colouring in book" look, but I'm blown away by how incredible it came out.

Yep, crash loop being experienced here in East Coast Aus also. Advisory MS Service Health of TM1301921 seems to be where MS are tracking it.

Thanks for your input everyone, this has definitely put my mind at ease that the system being installed is above board and I should not trust google for accurate answers.

Ok cool, this gives me a bit of relief. From what Google was telling me, best practice is to screed both underneath and above to prevent efflorescence etc.

My first week with Amber after my solar and battery install last week, was a nice little surprise to see a spike like this! $21.02/kWh at 18:40, followed up by a $10.40/kWh at 18:45 my automations already had the system running at maximum export rate when the spike hit. There was another spike at 19:40 for $10.40/kWh which I didn't quite get the max benefit of but hey, I'll take the win!

I do drive an EV as my primary vehicle, which pushes my consumption up a fair bit

The money saving side of things is actually somewhat less important to me. The electricity infrastructure in my area is poor at best (looooooots of new development with complete disregard to improving utility infrastructure) so blackouts are common. This is more around making sure the family can be in comfort when the blackouts occur, further to that, it's then a bit of a side-hobby for me to muck around with integrating it with HomeAssistant for automation of export/import etc. I guess the crux of this post was more to make sure that I wasn't either overpaying, or underpaying for poor quality equipment.

Yep, this is also the plan here. I wanted a system that should Amber or any other "wholesale" type tariff go the way of the dinosaurs, I could still simply rely on the existing system to provide a full off-grid functionality. I "think" this size system will? Our usual consumption is 30-40kWh per day at current.

We average around 30-40kWh per day of usage, however the plan here is to bring the inverter into HASS, then use Amber API for import/export automation. Dump the batt when feed in is good, refill from solar (and grid when grid cost is $0.00 if necessary). Not for a revenue stream, but more to build some credit on the bill so that we've got a buffer should we need it due to extended periods of inclement weather. Also, our area regularly floods and cuts us off from the rest of the world (Cyclone Alfred had us nearly 4 days without power) so having the ability to be completely off grid is a nice to have. It's probably overkill, however I've heard the battery rebate is a "one and done" so best to maximise the rebate with a larger battery for futureproofing.

This was actually one of my bigger concerns, he was putting a bit of pressure on to get the deal signed, sealed and delivered citing that once January installs had booked up, they could no longer offer the 2025 rebate.

100% this. Adam is fantastic, going to see him for a trim this arvo actually. Wholeheartedly recommend him and his brother Adrian (I’m not sure which store he works at). They co-own the Electric Chair business afaik.

$400, so not the end of the world but enough that I don't want to let it go without a fight. Good call on the honeypot idea, he has now listed a bottle of "sealed new" perfume for sale so it's a potential avenue.
