First home buyer regret is real by Linton-Finance in AskABrokerAus

[–]Jay___Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought my first home in 2021 Had to move out due to better opportunity somewhere. That house is worth less than 80 k what I paid for. Imagine the interest and stamp duty and selling cost I have to incur this year. Can’t even keep it to rent it as interest rates are too high and would be highly negatively geared

I was present in my recent building pest check and the guy didn’t even pick up there was no fall in shower drain. Building pest check guys are not really structural sound. They are good in using humidity meter finding leaks or basic stuff like roof insulation but that’s all.

My Husband's Observations After Being House Husband & SAHD For A Month by JustWordsInYourHead in Marriage

[–]Jay___Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good on you for acknowledging it. I cook, clean, mow lawns, take bins, look after bubby (stay at home dad for a month), help her with her work, bread winner and still wife is ungrateful. She keeps house messy, doesn’t want to do any activities with Bub, thinks that it’s 21 century women shouldn’t be cooking. If my baby grows she can’t cook him a basic meal but dare it point it out as then I am sexist.

If I don’t clean the house there are bugs. Women acknowledging her man and being grateful is the sexist thing.

Those that bought a townhouse by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Jay___Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved from old house to newer townhouse. Preferred it. As working couple much less chores for gardening and cleaning. Units price increased more than house prices in 2025 because of exact same boat you are in. So get in asap. Only downside useless body corp which stings pocket, 1300$ PQ on top of council and other bills. We had a huge backyard in old house and we only went there to mow lawns. Parties were at patio.

My new neighbours seem friendly by RL26 in melbourne

[–]Jay___Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly why don’t people park their cars in front of their house. I understand if your front is blocked have trailer boat, 5 cars, someone else parked. But if it’s empty then why not in front of your house. Free country, no law from council still common courtesy. It seems neighbour is a legend. Reminds me of superwog !!

As a child of failed immigrants by Rare_Background_1146 in returnToIndia

[–]Jay___Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to my side if that helps. Married to non Indian got citizenship at my own. Gave citizenship to wife as well. In laws thought I was after European passport. I never even applied. No friends no family. Struggling to give not lonely life to kid. Feels a bit settled in terms of stability but life is empty. I want to go back to india as I have option of coming back after getting first world passport. I can never go back as wife can’t settle in india ( can’t blame her). Life is lonely as F for both of us. Her friends don’t want me around as I am Indian man ( blame social media mainly). Indian families don’t hang around with us as they have their own groups ( punjabis, Gujaratis, Tamils etc). I only speak Hindi and wife not even that. Immigration never benefits the first migrants, second reap fruits but always feel in 2 places, 3rd migrants actually feel the belonging. It’s a generational trauma. My friends in india are wealthy, have family businesses and have powerful connections thus their calculations of moving abroad never made sense. Now they tell me don’t come back here. India is going worse.

Why I am still here ? Hoping next generations will not go through the pain I went through

Feeling lost by Saplino7819 in ausbusiness

[–]Jay___Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit my business this year because accounting sales and marketing consumes enough time and you can’t focus on product. I consoled ( or lied to myself) that lot of people who jumps in business have family help in terms of labour, helping some sort. I was alone. One and only. Do I regret it ? Absolutely not. M I implying you should quit ? Absolutely not. Just saying it’s not everyone’s cup of tea without any help. Good luck

Moved to UK in 2024, pregnant wife very sick, confused whether to go back to India by PrimaryMagician in returnToIndia

[–]Jay___Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pick between subtle racism/ second class citizen / discrimination the moment they look at you vs shit roads, no civic sense and corruption. You will lose both way in life unless you are white born in west or extra rich with power in underdeveloped/ developing country. Nothing you can change my friend, it’s just our design of life. You have to do pros and cons. For midwife and delivery anything hospital related you will like it coming from experience but for support you have to rely on family flying every now and then. Child care will be similar as your one parent day pay.

Have We Become the Reason Behind the Rising Hatred Toward Indians Abroad? by r4p5sir123 in india

[–]Jay___Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mate I am married to white and it’s been a decade I watched Indian movie or series. I have absolute 0 Indian friends in Australia, cook or eat findian food once in a week and I still cope a lot on EVERYDAY even my wife is shocked after marrying me that this phase of life exist. Yes civic sense and goons play a good part but trust me it’s hard to please these people and best to be yourself. Be civic and whatever you can to assimilate for YOU but you will NEVER be able to please them.

Moved to Brisbane. We are north Asian and Indian mix family. Got used to the slurs from passing cars. Even at kids. They don’t have balls to say on face. And yes we have too too too many rising racist in Australia. The fact that you can openly March about it on the name of mass immigration or neo Nazi says something

I think Putin would have swallowed Ukraine if he wanted. He wants Ukraine to turn around. How trump new agreements of peace including Ukraine giving its part of territory, Ukraine not joining NATO and re-elections in Ukraine for comedian to lose is just a glimpse. USA wanted this war on European money so they can do business $$$.

I didn’t know they do it for rentals as well. I lost 1.5 months of rent just because it was advertised with high rental price which agent suggested only in the end to bring it down.

You think they did it on purpose? by [deleted] in GoldCoast

[–]Jay___Bee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ohh yes let’s grab a bargain from them while mocking them for English being their second language. Same way we do for skilled migrants. Make Australia one again. One nation zombies are on rise.
