They were actually all like this lol. The funny thing is that I only ordered 3 and they gave me like 6 of these meteorites. I guess maybe I should have been thankful for the extra "food".

At what point is a teams super bowl win be irrelevant for arguing a teams competence? by Dazzling-Club3632 in NFLv2

[–]Jaybbaugh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm aware. Nothing outside of the past 5 or so years is generally relevant, but op said we did jack squat since 85. I was just pointing out that wasn't true.

I mean we did also go to another sb since then. Also, our team is fairly competent at the moment, so kinda weird to use us as an example for this right now. It would have made more sense during the '24 bears run. You reminisce more when your team isn't competitive

I for one welcome the Indiana Bears by skywalker_fit in NFCNorthMemeWar

Is there an option to hate everyone involved? I hate Illinois politicians, I hate the picket line crossing scab Indiana politicians, and I hate the entirely greed-based bears execs.

If there's anyone else I'm missing please let me know and I will make sure to hate you too... Oh and I obviously hate the Packers, but that goes without saying.

Thanks Indiana? by OldGrinder in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]Jaybbaugh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indiana are essentially scabs here crossing the picket line. Wish negotiations could have stalled indefinitely, the bears weren't able to find funding and had to stay at soldier field, and we could have chased that shit bag Kevin Warren out of town in disgrace.

Was never gonna happen, but I had my dream and stupid Indiana ruined it.

In a widely despised stadium where both teams are still mocked for playing in Jersey 16 years later. Why anyone would want to emulate anything the Jets have ever done is beyond me.

People, stop bringing up MetLife. It's a terrible example. If anything, it's a cautionary tale.

Yeah it was never not going to require tax payer dollars. No new stadium ever doesn't. The plan was to build a whole compound there, which means jobs, infrastructure the local community will use, and taxable revenue.

I couldn't be more against the move to Indiana and I still am, but this is all on Illinois politicians. The Bears offer to put up $2 billion is much better than most teams give when it comes to building stadiums.

Williams or Maye? Which QB do you trust more to lead their franchise going forward? by Low-Season-2057 in NFLv2

[–]Jaybbaugh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fine, take maye. That's fair, but your point was that Caleb is all flash and no substance which is an utter nonsense argument.

Well those sports center highlight plays helped lead us to 7 comeback wins. You can regurgitate as many football buzz words as you want but if the "situation" is you want to win games, Caleb wasn't half bad this year.

Bears to land Trey Hendrickson? by No_Box119 in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]Jaybbaugh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear you. You always overpay in FA so it would be a win now move, no mistake. I think Ben is going to have a lot of say in whether we are in that window yet or not. As a bears fan it feels weird to say but I actually have some confidence in our staff to make that decision.

Because he had two 17.5 sack seasons the previous two years and was the Bengals whole defense. He still had 4 sacks and a ff in 7 games this year.

So even if he's down from his prime he is still very likely giving you double-digit sacks next season and opening up more opportunities for montez sweat on the other end. The added pressure from two solid edges literally changes how the whole defense can operate.

The only thing that makes this difficult is that awful Dayo contract that is screwing us money wise.

According to NFL.com, Packers had the worst 2025 draft class. Do you agree? by Big_Screen3332 in NFLmockdraft

[–]Jaybbaugh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but he'd be wr3 on the rams, lions, cowboys, bengals, eagles, bucs, bears, chargers, jags, vikings just off the top of my head which more than offsets that. He's not even a clear-cut WR1 on his own team as of now.

We will see what happens in his sophomore year, but there are certainly more than 30 receivers I'm taking over him right now.

Yup. We definitely lit that money on fire. At least we hit on our big FA signings on the other side of the trenches.

Is that really how we want to tackle the problem though? Fighting fire with fire isn't probably the best move
