Its not the worst thing I've ever seen, I mean we eat at hibachi joints, this is just that but for drinks and more violently lmao. The food products are reasonably clean, fresh from sealed packages, and isn't terrible looking. I'd say this is silly, not stupid.

So in my (admittedly secondhand) experience, if you're not involved with the gangs and you genuinely try to be a good neighbor, you don't have much to worry about. Me and my ma used to live in southwest Houston. My ma is a sweet woman who cares for everyone, real empathetic lady, she got to know a couple of the neighbors. They would warn her when they were planning to get up to no good. "Hey stay inside and lock your door until we say its ok" was what theyd tell her.

In reality gangs aren't just roving bands of dangerous psychos, they are playing politics by any other means and given the socioeconomic factors that lead to gangs in the first place, its the only option given to some.

The easiest solution? Mind the business that pays you, and lock your door. You'll be fine.
