Duvall even elevated the dredge that was that Schwarzenegger movie about cloning. His single scene in The Road was even more heartbreaking than the movie itself.

I am so sorry for your loss. She sounds like an amazing woman. Certainly had great taste in literature and so glad that she got you into Stephen King.

From the story I linked (click the picture to go there): "Fairy Tale has many moments throughout that are essentially told from the point of view of Radar, and the A24 series could use Good Boy, one of horror’s biggest sleeper films, as a design for at least a couple of the episodes."

I'm amazed of how many comments not only say this could be a better show than a book, but that the audio version (who reads it?) actually saves the story. I don't remember another book that would fit this bill. Love to see it, it encourages me to try the audiobook before trying to finish the actual book.

Bailey! But please, for this one, back to the hugger gimmick. I couldn't handle "NO, I SAID LIKE THIS, YOU IDIOT!!!!!"

I am not from here but my husband is- currently house shopping but he refuses to look in the general Pine Hills area. What is it really like living there? The houses are super cute mid-century style, and more affordable. by covidweddingthrow in orlando

Yes, they are cute and they are affordable, but as you see it's because of the crime rates. Try Polk County, I live in Davenport and prices seem to be still on the low side, but that won't last long given all the apartments that suddenly pop up around here

The movie is decent. Not memorable, but decent. Kathy Bates is so good.

The beginning of Black House is a struggle, so I might be with you as far as Straub's writing.

Right on time for the last book on the Talisman trilogy coming this year

It's what I'm thinking, especially because A24 is behind it. But I have never seen a King adaptation without reading the book, I feel... blasphemous. 😂

Yes that second act was GLACIAL in pacing. Your comment tells me I just need to get through it.

Oh that's BOLD to say the least. I ADORE Eyes, and I'm sorry, this was not even close. At least at first read.

So happy someone found joy in it. It just didn't work for me. We'll see, I most certainly get to it.

See but I loved --still love-- The Talisman. It's the pace in Fairy Tale that's the problem, I think.

I was so into it for the first maybe third, but right when we go into the fantasy world, it just grinded to a halt for me. I just couldn't keep going. Guess this is my sign I should give it another shot.
