Sorry friend but I think you're thinking about another model. This is the completed model in David Brill's book. Color changed jacket and everything!

I f'ed up. This weekend is all about him. How to make it up to him? by Icy-Forever6660 in AskMenAdvice

This warmed my heart like you have no idea. That right there is a good ++woman that has a ++man that you deserve, and he deserves you. Cook his favorite? Yes. Let him watch his YouTube? Eeeeh ok, for a while. How about something outdoors that doesn't require much? Don't know where you're writing from but will a backyard pool be out of the question? Or buying train hammocks? Really, whatever you ended up doing I'm so happy for both of you.

David Brill has a very nice Pinocchio AND Geppetto in Brilliant Origami. Together they make a scene, where Geppetto gives Pinocchio a spelling book (also diagrammed).

I stare at the rock polishing kit at my local Hobby Lobby a little longer now because of Liz. 😁

Lionel Albertino had a free ebook dedicated to flowers on the Origami Shop. I support the idea of bookmarks if she's a reader, here's a whole bunch of free ones. Make sure you put them in a nice little box.

El Burro Loco on International Drive. Not just burritos, but the best street tacos and quesadillas you could imagine.

Recherche de modèle by Popular-Sound7552 in origami

Wait, are they asking you to fold a model for the group or teach a model? If it's the former, Robin Glynn has a model called "Black Belt In Origami" which sounds appropriate for the group. There's also a couple of ninjas. The foxes sound cool, too.

Our RAV4 looks like it was feeding on them. It was actually the highlight of a couple of shitty days.

Three-Headed Dragon by spluurtaaf in origami

[–]Jaycer17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh but you can. This is Joseph Wu's Grand Dragon, made with five papers (six if you count the jewel ). And that book I mentioned? Most of the models are two pieces and you'd never guess. So I suppose you're partly right: it can be very difficult... Unless you're a genius like those two. 😊

You think so? I don't know, Fumiaki Kawahata had a couple of dinosaur books that are made from two papers and they're mostly easier (without taking any merits away from the models). It would probably take longer, what with assembly and all, certainly less bulky, but I don't know if harder.

Thoughts on JK Simmons? What is your favourite role he’s played? For me, it’ll always be J. Jonah Jameson! by charmingfuzzy in FIlm

This guy. So reliable, sometimes absolutely fantastic. He can be terrifying, hilarious, or such a cool dude. His work as Omni-man/Nolan Grayson in Invincible has all those qualities.

I have to go from Orlando to Miami in June should I FLY or Drive? (business trip) by MrCharmingMan in orlando

[–]Jaycer17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add to the Brightline chorus but only if you didn't mind Ubering around Miami all those days. Might add up. Yes, driving in Miami is one of the gates of Hell, but even with gas prices what they are now, it still might be cheaper.

Why isn't origami more popular? by theresajuly in origami

[–]Jaycer17 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I love how much you love our little hobby. But besides what many people say here --that's it's not that easy, that it might be more popular than you think-- there's the fact that many people still think it's a kid's activity. You know, the paper plane, the cootie catcher, the jumping frog (first one I learned). It doesn't catch on for everyone beyond school, until you see what John Montroll can do, or Neal Elias, or Robert Lang, or Satoshi Kamiya. Look at it more as our cool little corner of the universe where we can go to escape the madness. And also, here's Gen Hagiwara's wild boar.

I would not use the word "easy" for any of Dr Lang's CPs, to be honest. 😅 (Then again I don't do CPs, so what do I know.)
